WASHINGTON DC: Meghan McCain, daughter of the late Senator John McCain (R-Ariz), claimed that Joe Biden will not be reelected “one way or another,” causing a stir on social media.

Her remarks come after a week of heightened tension among Democrats following Biden's shaky debate performance.

Meghan McCain questions Joe Biden's reelection prospects

Despite Joe Biden's insistence that he remains committed to the race, Meghan McCain suggested that his family should accept the reality that he won't be president for much longer.

“Joe Biden can step aside for another candidate or lose in historic numbers in a few months — but one way or another he will not be President soon and this is something his family should start coming to terms with since they all seem to be living in a severe level of delusion,” Meghan posted on social platform X (formerly Twitter).

Her comments follow Biden’s debate performance last Thursday, June 27, where he sounded raspy and stumbled over his words.

This has led to questions within the Democratic Party about whether Biden should continue as the nominee.

"Super weird democrats would rather lose massively to Trump than admit Biden has a problem," Meghan wrote in another post.

Joe Biden insists on staying in the presidential race despite calls to step aside

The White House has been firm in saying Joe Biden is not exiting his reelection run.

“I’m the Democratic Party’s nominee. No one is pushing me out," Biden said in a fundraising email sent Wednesday.

"I’m not leaving, I’m in this race to the end, and WE are going to win this election," Biden stated, according to The Hill.

"If that’s all you need to hear, pitch in a few bucks to help [Vice President Harris] and me defeat Donald Trump in November," he said.

In an interview on ABC on Friday, Biden addressed whether he could be convinced to leave the race, stating, “If the Lord Almighty came down and said, ‘Joe, get out of the race,’ I’d get out of the race. The Lord Almighty’s not comin’ down.”

He reiterated his stance on X, writing, "Let me say this as clearly as I can: I’m the sitting President of the United States. I’m the nominee of the Democratic party. I’m staying in the race."

Meghan McCain says Joe Biden and Donald Trump's defenders act like 'cult' worshippers

Meghan likened Biden's defenders to Trump’s, saying, “Hysterical Biden defenders are exactly the same as the hysterical Trump defenders and frankly this cult worship of our presidents is really scary and exactly the opposite of what that position was intended to be when created by our founding fathers. These men aren’t kings.”

Internet reacts to Meghan McCain's comments saying Joe Biden will lose

Netizens were quick to criticize Meghan McCain's comments on Joe Biden.

One X user wrote, "Ah, yes... The world has been waiting for another failed TV host to enlighten us with her pearls of wisdom."

Another commented, "Nepobaby says what?"

Many dismissed Meghan’s qualifications to make such predictions. "Honestly who cares what Meghan says. It's not like she has some superior credentials or expertise or experience to predict these things or even to pontificate on them," said one user.

Critics also took issue with her prominence, attributing it to her father’s fame. "Why do we know her name? That’s right! Nepo Baby of the worst kind! Given her fame off of her Father’s suffering. What a horrible person," wrote another user.

Some questioned her intentions, with one remarking, "Ms McCain; a low level, irrelevant Karen. Whatever could she mean by ‘one way or another’?"

"Your father would be so disappointed in you," wrote one more.

Another voiced support saying, "Yeah, it's really sad and frustrating when someone's family members stubbornly refuse to acknowledge that person's issues and failings...."
