Meghan McCain wonders whether Taylor Swift is 'messing with' karma by 'not letting others have No 1'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan McCain is pondering whether Taylor Swift is "messing” things up “karmically.”
McCain, the host of ‘CitizenMcCain’, recently pondered on the pop diva’s ruthless approach toward her career and the effects she has on the “Taylor Swift territory," per Us Weekly.
McCain further wondered whether Sabrina Carpenter opened up on her equation with the 'Bad Blood' singer of her own volition.
Meghan McCain thinks Taylor Swift is 'messing' up with karma
The former ‘The View’ co-host chose Taylor Swift as one of her topics on the Monday, June 24, episode of her podcast. During the show, she also pondered upon the recent online chatter regarding Swift using business tactics to stop other artists from getting the number one spot on the charts.
Earlier in May, Swift dropped three different variants of her ‘The Tortured Poets Department' album in the US just a day before the release of Billie Eilish’s latest album ‘Hit Me Hard and Soft’, restricting the Oscar-winner’s album to climb to the top spot of Billboard 200.
In June, Swift was accused of resorting to a similar stance when she dropped three variants of her ‘TTPD’ album in the UK, helping her maintain the coveted top spot for the sixth week in a row.
While she was enjoying the top spot, Charli XCX's new album, ‘Brat’ debuted at No 2 on the chart dated June 14.
McCain speculates whether these are mere coincidences or deliberations on Swift’s part to stop the others from holding No. 1.

The 39-year-old television host said on the podcast, "You are Taylor Swift, you are Elvis-level, one of the greatest of all time.”
She added, "There are people coming up who could have their first No 1 and you have the power to let them have No 1 or not. … I just don't know how classy it is."
"I also think that, karmically, you're messing with some stuff. I get that The Tortured Poets Department is doing this well … but I do think maybe more focus on music and art instead of, like, checks on a scoreboard,” contemplated the McCainBlogette founder.
While admitting that she is not a “Swiftie,” McCain further questioned whether the general population is tired of Swift amid her record-breaking global Eras Tour.
She declared, "She has, respectfully, nowhere else to go but down at this point," explaining, "She has TIME magazine's person of the year, this tour's so big … I do think when she's done touring, giving us a mild break from being in the news cycle as much as she is would be helpful for her, and us as commentators."
McCain further noted that she found it to be “little weird” that Sabrina Carpenter spoke about her equation with Swift after it was speculated that the two pop stars’ relationship soured. Carpenter, who opened for some of Swift’s Eras Tour shows, also modeled for Swift’s enemy Kim Kardashian’s lingerie line.
McCain pondered on her podcast, "Was she scared of retribution from Taylor Swift or Taylor Swift's fans?"
She further added, "I think we're treading into weird territory - we're river-rafting down and some weird rapids is coming in this Taylor Swift territory. I think that's kind of weird … otherwise, what would Taylor Swift do? Hurt her in the middle of the night? Put her fans on her?"
Meghan McCain shaded Jennifer Lopez previously
McCain, who talks about the latest happenings if pop culture, also criticized Jennifer Lopez just two weeks ago. Amid all the speculations regarding the 'Jenny From the Block' singer's marriage ordeal with Ben Affleck, McCain opined that Lopez is an "unpleasant person," per Entertainment Weekly.
Commenting on the social media chatter regarding the 'Atlas' star's marriage, McCain said, "I, too, share similar negative stories that the entire world does."
She continued, "I feel bad because we're turning a point where there's bullying happening to JLo She just is a deeply unpleasant person. She had the biggest entourage I've ever seen [when she was on The View]. More than Kim Kardashian and the president. I just don't understand why it was needed."
