Megyn Kelly says she misses 'fat Oprah' as she slams media mogul for using Ozempic to lose weight
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Megyn Kelly has criticized Oprah Winfrey's “ridiculous” town hall event with Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming Winfrey is no longer the genuine figure she once admired.
The 53-year-old former Fox News anchor slammed the billionaire media mogul, referring to her as “elitist” and calling out her use of the weight loss drug Ozempic.
Megyn Kelly says thin Oprah Winfrey lacks 'authenticity'
Megyn Kelly's comments came during the episode of her SiriusXM podcast where she discussed her disappointment with Oprah Winfrey's support of Kamala Harris and her current persona.
Kelly voiced her displeasure with Oprah, specifically noting the change in her appearance and authenticity since using Ozempic.
“I miss fat Oprah. She was just genuine,” Kelly said, adding, “Now this thin Ozempic Oprah has lost — along with the pounds, her heart — her sense of authenticity," Kelly said, according to New York Post.
Kelly’s remarks followed Oprah's town hall event in Michigan where the media icon appeared alongside Kamala Harris.
The event called the 'Unite for America Rally' was streamed live and attended virtually by celebrities such as Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, and Jennifer Lopez. Winfrey interviewed Harris in a style similar to her previous daytime talk show.
Oprah Winfrey's town hall was a 'debacle,' says Megyn Kelly
Megyn Kelly expressed her frustration with Oprah Winfrey's handling of the event, accusing her of not asking Kamala Harris hard-hitting questions on critical issues.
“The Oprah-hosted town hall was a ‘debacle’ and ‘the ultimate culmination of her journalistic fails,’” Kelly said, adding that Winfrey failed to ask Harris about important topics such as gun control and border crisis.
Kelly, a known supporter of Donald Trump, criticized the event saying that Oprah Winfrey used the platform “to rehab and repackage” Harris instead of holding her accountable.
She also expressed disappointment in Winfrey’s apparent political bias, saying, “I used to love Oprah, like most of us who grew up when we did. And only now did I realize I’ve been getting spoon-fed propaganda from this woman for years.”
Megyn Kelly says Oprah Winfrey's wealth disconnected her from reality
Megyn Kelly also took an aim at the billionaire’s lifestyle, claiming that Orpah Winfrey has become out of touch with the average American.
Kelly said her wealth has made her a "cleansed, elite, billionaire" who hasn’t "spent time hanging out with a working-class person."
Kelly found fault with Winfrey’s behavior during the event, describing her mannerisms as “affected, forced” and uncomfortable to watch.
Referring to the moments when Winfrey raised her voice, Kelly said, “I was like, what’s she doing? This feels affected, forced, and it’s making me uncomfortable.”
