WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly recently weighed in on the 2028 presidential race, sparking buzz over what she called a potential “dream ticket” for Republicans. She also shared her thoughts on the Democrats’ possible contenders.

What really grabbed attention, though, was how she spoke about California Governor Gavin Newsom — she couldn’t help commenting on his “handsome” looks and tall frame. Even as she criticized him politically, she still noted his appearance.

Speaking with the Daily Mail on Tuesday, November 6, Megyn Kelly turned her attention to leading Democrats, including California Governor Gavin Newsom.

She admitted that Newsom caught her eye for more than just his frequent jabs at President Donald Trump. “He’s got the right hair. He’s tall,” she said. “He’s a good-looking guy. People like handsome politicians, and though I’m not a Gavin Newsom fan, you can’t take that away from him.”

Later, Kelly criticized Newsom’s social media activity and new podcast. “It’s so pathetic. It doesn’t work. It’s not clear. The reason it works for Trump is because it’s authentic to him — it’s original and funny. Trump’s funny. Just trying to imitate somebody isn’t interesting,” she added.

According to Kalshi markets, Newsom is currently pulling ahead as the leading Democratic option for the 2028 presidential race, making him a key figure to watch alongside Harris.

Kelly shared her choice for the 2028 Republican nomination. While she dismissed talk of Donald Trump seeking a third term, she praised JD Vance and Marco Rubio as “the brightest stars” in the GOP.

Starmer is on his first visit to Washington since President Trump returned to the White House. Starmer's trip comes shortly after he announced an increase in UK defense spending, ostensibly as a signal to Trump that the UK is prepared to bolster Europe's security, and as he aims to broker a fair peace deal for Ukraine amid Trump's warming relations with Russia. “I think it’s going to be JD Vance. And my prayer is that his running mate is Marco Rubio. I think they’ll clean up, those two together. I think that’s a dream ticket,” she said.

Kelly added, “Trump said it the other day, and I agree. Trump, interestingly, always mentions Marco when somebody asks him who’s the heir apparent, who’s going to be the next president. They always say, ‘Is it JD?’ and he always says, ‘JD is great, and Marco.’”

Taking cues from Trump’s recent remarks, she continued, “It’s interesting — Trump’s definitely making room for Marco. And last week, he explicitly said they’d be great on a joint ticket.”
