Michael Jackson’s son Prince Jackson makes rare appearance to honor late father on his birthday
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: Michael Jackson’s son, Prince Jackson, made a rare public appearance in Las Vegas to mark his father’s birthday on August 29.
In video footage, Prince raised his right hand and, on the count of three, shouted with the crowd, “Happy birthday, Michael.”
The 29-year-old was seen interacting with the crowd and was dressed casually. If the King of Pop were still alive, he would have turned 68 years old.

Prince is not the only child of the pop singer. The 'Beat It' singer is survived by a daughter, Paris, 28, and another son, Blanket (Bigi) Jackson, 24, with his ex-wife Debbie Rowe.
Although Prince tries to stay out of the limelight, he previously paid a sartorial tribute to his father at the LA premiere of the 'Michael' biopic in April 2026.
Prince Jackson recalls Michael Jackson’s ‘childlike’ nature
During an interview, Jackson's eldest son got candid about his father and his parenting style. Prince said that his father had a "childlike" nature.
The 29-year-old recalled his childhood at Michael’s Neverland Ranch in California, where he grew up alongside Paris and Bigi.
“As I've gotten older, I've learned that a lot of what I think is normal life is not normal life,” Prince shared on Sunrise.
“We spent a lot of time playing board games together, reading books, watching movies. It truly was, and is, magical. It felt like your own personal Disneyland,” he added.
“Growing up at Neverland with my siblings and my father, for us, it was hanging out together as a family, but with the backdrop of elephants and giraffes walking in the background.”
Prince clearly said that his father was an “awesome” dad and was “really fun to just spend time with.”
“But when he played with us, he played with us. You know, he got down, and he was playing with the toys and making up stories…He just had a very childlike nature that was so much fun, always playing pranks on people and stuff,” he concluded.
