SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA: House Speaker Mike Johnson pledged to respond to the guilty verdict against Donald Trump on Sunday, June 2, stating that House Republicans will utilize "everything in our arsenal."

Johnson made these remarks during 'Fox News Sunday' with host Shannon Bream.

Mike Johnson plans to use House oversight against corrupt prosecutors

Speaker Mike Johnson highlighted the House's oversight capabilities. He expressed their intention to use them against corrupt prosecutors while emphasizing that Republicans will adhere to the "rule of law."

“We are the rule of law party. Chaos is not a conservative value. We have to fight back, and we will with everything in our arsenal. But we will do that within the confines of the rule of law,” Johnson said, the New York Post reported.

“We believe in our institutions. We are conservatives, and we are trying to conserve the greatest country in the history of the world. And its institutions are an important part of that. Our system of justice is an important part of that,” he added.

Recently, Trump was found guilty on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records in a Manhattan court, a verdict that has sparked significant anger among conservatives.

As highlighted by Bream, some conservatives believe that the correct response is to begin legal proceedings against Democratic politicians.

Mike Johnson talks about House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan's actions

Mike Johnson stressed the importance of Republicans adhering to the rule of law and highlighted actions taken by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).

Jordan has called Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and the lead prosecutors in Trump's case to testify before the committee on June 13. Trump's sentencing is set for July 11.

The former president has leveraged his conviction to mobilize voters who believe his prosecution was politically motivated.

He still faces three more indictments. In the days following his conviction on Thursday, May 30, Trump's campaign has amassed tens of millions of dollars.

The campaign projects that they will collect approximately $150 million in a week.
