LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Renowned boxer Mike Tyson is reportedly recuperating from a mid-flight health emergency caused by an "ulcer flare-up", which is now under control.

Mike Tyson, who is expected to face Jake Paul for a match in just a few days, experienced a medical emergency during a flight on Sunday, May 26, People reported.

The former world heavyweight champion was en route from Miami to Los Angeles when he began to feel "dizzy".

A spokesperson for the Tyson, 57, stated on Monday, May 27, "Thankfully, Mr Tyson is doing great" after "he became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing." 

The statement added, "He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him." 

During the flight, a request for medical assistance was made, and paramedics reportedly boarded the aircraft to attend to Tyson. 

According to Tyson's representatives, the flight was delayed for two hours before departure due to an "air conditioning issue on the aircraft".

Notably, Tyson's health condition was unrelated to the delay.

The latest update on Mike Tyson's health has rapidly gained attention on various social media platforms, particularly on Facebook, where users have been urging Tyson to continue his fighting spirit without ceasing.

One social media user said, “Oh boy here we go with some issues being brought up now that could potentially affect this fight that's supposed to take place between him and Jackie Paul. If he loses the fight they'll blame it on the ulcer. And yes I did say Jackie and not Jake.”

Another encouraged Tyson and wrote, “NEVER stop fighting, Mike!”

Another wished for the boxer's "speedy recovery.”

One individual said, “Sorry Mike, getting older has been hard on all of us.”

Anothyer added, “The beauty of aging! Ahhh, I feel your pain Mike!”

Tyson conveyed in a statement released through Netflix, "I'm very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.”

About Paul, Tyson remarked, "He's grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT. It's a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him."
