Miley Cyrus’ dad Billy Ray Cyrus reportedly engaged to gf Elizabeth Hurley amid ring speculation
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Country singer and Miley Cyrus’ father, Billy Ray Cyrus, has reportedly proposed to his girlfriend, actress and model Elizabeth Hurley, after more than a year of dating.
Inside sources reportedly confirmed the engagement to Page Six after she was spotted wearing a large diamond ring.
The couple, who went public with their relationship in 2025, have previously spoken about their similarities and shared love of country life.

Cyrus and Hurley first sparked rumors of a potential engagement after Hurley was seen flaunting a massive diamond ring in an Instagram photo shared on her account. The sighting sparked engagement rumors, with a source telling Page Six that the ring was unlikely to be a prop.
“She’s filming ‘The ‘Burbs’; I hardly think this ring is a prop,” the source said.
Cyrus also appeared to offer a clue about their future plans through an Instagram post shared on Thursday. While promoting his new single, ‘Party’s in the Back,’ with Deltona, he included a ring emoji in his message, prompting further speculation about the couple's relationship.
Hurley's son, Damian, also liked the post with a celebratory emoji. “This is the most fertile solid ground I have stood on in a long time,” Cyrus wrote.
He also spoke about seeing people's dreams come true and expressed excitement about an upcoming show with NASCAR in Phoenix. “I like seeing peoples dreams come true. I’m so excited for the show this weekend teaming up with NASCAR in Phoenix !!! Kinda has a ring to it,” he added.
If the reported engagement proceeds to marriage, it will be Cyrus' fourth. He was previously married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 and Tish Cyrus from 1993 to 2023. He married Firerose in 2023, but their union ended in 2024 after she accused him of abuse, allegations he denied.
Cyrus has six children, including superstar daughter Miley Cyrus. Hurley was in a long-term relationship with actor Hugh Grant from 1987 to 2000 before welcoming son Damian with late producer Steve Bing.
Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus on their unexpected romance
Cyrus and Hurley went public with their relationship on Easter Sunday in 2025. The pair first met while working on the 2022 holiday film ‘Christmas in Paradise’ and reconnected in February 2025.
Although their romance raised eyebrows, Hurley explained that the two have more in common than people might expect. Speaking on the ‘SheerLuxe’ podcast earlier this month, she said, “There are a lot more similarities than you’d think.”
“We have the same hair. Identical hair. Apart from his beard, we’re actually like twins,” she joked. Hurley acknowledged that theirs was an “unlikely pairing in some ways” but said they shared “quite similar lives” and aligned in many ways.
In May, Hurley told Page Six that their relationship felt natural because of their shared preference for country living over city life. She explained that Cyrus’ farm in Tennessee was similar to her own farm in Gloucestershire, England.
“Funnily enough, [Billy’s] farm in Tennessee is very similar to my farm here in Gloucestershire, so in a way it kind of feels normal,” she said. The couple also described their time together in the countryside in an interview with People in June.
“We obsessively watch birds of prey and light lots of bonfires,” she said. “It’s bliss.” Cyrus also reflected on their connection, suggesting that their contrasting personalities initially attracted attention but that their shared experiences brought them closer.
