'Mind your own business': Margot Robbie slammed for interrupting 'Barbie' debate during night out at pub
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Margot Robbie added an unexpected twist to a stag party in Scotland when she interrupted a group of men discussing her recent 'Barbie' movie during their celebration.
The 33-year-old actress, who portrayed the iconic doll in the 2023 film, shared the amusing encounter during a special screening of 'Barbie' organized by the actors' union SAG-AFTRA.

Robbie revealed that she overheard a group of men passionately debating the cultural significance of the 'Barbie' movie in a remote Scottish pub.
"I had this brilliant experience," she told the audience at the special screening of the film in Los Angeles.
“I was in a pub in the middle of nowhere in Scotland and I listened for about 30 minutes to a group of guys on a bachelor party discussing the 'Barbie' movie – not knowing that I was sitting two or three feet away from them,” she said.
“One guy was like, ‘Dude, it is a cultural moment, don’t you want to be a part of culture?’” she recalled. “And the other guy was like, ‘I’ll never see it,’ and by the end, he did want to see it. It was a whole thing.”
“I went to their table and I went, 'Thank you for seeing the Barbie movie,’” she said, explaining that it took a while for the group to work out who she was. "It was very funny, they lost it,” she added.
Describing the humorous encounter, Robbie mentioned, “It took a full minute for them to realize, and I was practically out the door, and they went, ‘Ohhh.'"
'Barbie', which received eight Academy Award nominations, stirred controversy over perceived snubs, notably for Greta Gerwig's directorial work and Robbie's performance. Despite the Oscars overlooking certain aspects, Robbie emphasized her gratitude for the film's impact on culture and society.
Reflecting on the nominations, she stated, “There’s no way to feel sad when you know you’re this blessed.” Robbie also expressed disappointment over Gerwig's absence from the directorial category, praising her exceptional achievement with 'Barbie'.
Margot Robbie faces criticism over 'Barbie' pub encounter
However, Margot Robbie is now facing backlash after sharing the humorous incident during the night out. Some social media users criticized Robbie for her response to the pub patrons' opinions.
One user commented, "They are certainly entitled to their opinion FFS. It's a free country. So many people disliked it too. Mind your own business."
Another user expressed the view that artists should be able to handle criticism, stating, "Don't release art to the world if you can't take criticism. Even the best movies, actors, singers of all time have had detractors. If we all liked the same stuff, the world would be very boring."
A third user argued that the patrons had the right to their opinions, stating, "She needed to mind her own business. They had the right to their opinions."
Meanwhile, a fourth user directly criticized the movie, stating, "The movie sucked, and you should be embarrassed for being a part of it."
