Nicole Kidman granted child custody 306 days a year in divorce from Keith Urban
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE: Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce documents have shed light on the former couple’s very unique child custody agreement as the pair part ways after 19 years of marriage.
The notarized papers, signed on August 29 by Urban and on September 6 by Kidman, show that the actress will become the primary residential parent of their teenage daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
According to the filings obtained in late September 2025, Kidman will have custody of her daughters for 306 days of the year, while Urban will receive just 59 days.
The arrangement has drawn attention for its unusual balance, though both stars emphasized their shared commitment to raising their children together.

The court-approved parenting plan confirms Kidman will care for the children most of the time, while Urban will have them from 10 am on Saturdays until 6 pm on Sundays every other weekend.
Special occasions have also been divided: Nicole will spend Mother’s Day and Easter with the girls, while Keith will celebrate Father’s Day and Thanksgiving with them.
Despite the unusual 306-to-59 split, the documents stress both parents’ pledge to maintain a “loving, stable, consistent, and nurturing relationship” for their children.
Plan includes rules on respect and parenting seminar
The filings state that neither parent may speak badly about the other in front of their daughters. Instead, both must encourage the children to “love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”
Additionally, Kidman and Urban are required to complete a court-mandated parenting seminar within 60 days of their divorce filing.
While Nicole and Keith have waived both spousal and child support payments, court costs will be split evenly. Notably, Urban had already prepaid all child support obligations.

The divorce papers come as speculation mounts in Nashville that Keith Urban may already be seeing a younger woman in the music industry.
According to a local PR insider, “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”
Kidman, insiders claim, has struggled with the rumors, especially while coping with the shock of her marriage ending.
The actress was reportedly “blindsided” when Urban decided to move out.

Urban has since spent most of the year away on his High and Alive World Tour, while Kidman remained in Tennessee with their daughters.

Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001, adopting two children during that relationship.
Although Nicole recently gushed about being “so lucky” to have had Keith as her partner, her comments promoting The Perfect Couple on Netflix hinted at marital strain, as she admitted, “There’s no perfect anything.”
