DES MOINES, IOWA: In the opening moments of tonight's CNN fifth GOP debate, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley engaged in a verbal exchange, each taking shots at the other in response to a question about why voters seeking an alternative to former President Donald Trump should support their candidacies.

While DeSantis attacked Trump saying that he is running to pursue his issues, he didn’t hold back to roast Haley, stating she’s running to pursue “her donor’s issues.”

However, Haley responded with a brutal jab at the governor, pitching that DeSantis would lie about her on the debate stage.

Unfortunately, the internet did not respond well to Haley’s remarks as many called her out for her “lies.”

Nikki Haley calls out Ron DeSantis’ for his lies on CNN's fifth GOP debate

When the fifth GOP debate hosts questioned the two GOP candidates about why voters looking for an alternative to Donald Trump should cast their ballot votes to them, Haley’s response was heard with a loud bang.

Haley responded by advocating for a "new generational leader," emphasizing her experience dealing with nations such as China and Russia during her tenure as the ambassador to the United Nations.

Additionally, she asserted that Ron DeSantis would spread falsehoods about her during the debate, urging voters to visit a website established by her campaign for more information.

Even Haley’s team took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to slam DeSantis saying, “Ron is going to lie about my record all night. So we came prepared. Check out.”

On the website, it wrote, “The more Ron DeSantis loses, the more he lies. Get the facts about Ron DeSantis’ latest lies about Nikki Haley’s record and his own.”

The website was bombarded with multiple debatable topics including Gaza refugees, China subsidies, gender-changing surgeries, and more, backed with fact-checked truth.

During the debate, Haley blasted DeSantis stating, “Rather than have him go and tell you all these lies, you can go to DeSantisLies.com, and look at all those... there's at least two dozen lies that he has told about me, and you can see where fact-checkers say exactly what's going to happen.”

She countered DeSantis' assertion that she is running to address donor concerns, stating, "He is only upset about the donors because they used to support him, but they no longer do."

Internet slams Nikki Haley for 'lying'

Many X users took a brutal jab at Nikki Haley.

One person wrote, “Just like you lie… like how ur curtains lied, that you had to spend thousands of dollars to replace. I wonder who’s lying now,” and another said, “Your campaign strategy is ugly, bottom-feeding strategy. Perhaps an attempt to promote your policies may prove beneficial.”

An X user simply called out Haley, “Probably because you lie all the dang time Nikki,” and another wrote, “Drop out Nikki.”

One more person took a brutal jab at the former South Carolina governor adding, “No one likes you!” and another said, “Everything that DeSantis has said about you is true. This is nothing but projection but the more you do it, the more people see you for the pathological liar that you are. Keep it up 🤡.”
