LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: George Clooney has made it abundantly clear that he will not be donning the superhero cape again despite a recent cameo as Bruce Wayne in 'The Flash'.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Oscar-winning actor declared that there aren't "enough drugs in the world" to convince him to reprise his role as Batman.

Clooney first portrayed the iconic character in the 1997 film 'Batman & Robin', alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Uma Thurman. Despite making a cameo in 'The Flash' earlier this year, the 62-year-old actor expressed his reluctance to revisit the role, emphasizing that it's "not really my Batman."

While Clooney wanted to wear the same suit from the past, known for its infamous rubber nipples, the filmmakers opted for a different look in his brief appearance.

The actor has been candid about his views on 'Batman & Robin' in the past, describing it as a "failure" and a "cautionary reminder of what can happen when you make movies solely for commercial reasons."

The film, known for its campy and over-the-top style, was widely criticized, and Clooney acknowledged that it led him to rethink his approach to choosing roles.

“I had to rethink how I was working [after that],” he explained. “Because now I wasn’t just an actor getting a role, I was being held responsible for the film itself.”

Clooney also advised Ben Affleck against taking on the Batman role when Affleck was considering it. Despite his reservations, Clooney acknowledged that Affleck did a "great" job in the role. More recently, Robert Pattinson took on the iconic character in 'The Batman'.

“I actually did talk to him about it. I said, ‘Don’t do it,’” Clooney revealed to Howard Stern in 2020. “It was only from my experience.”

George Clooney still feels Amal Clooney is 'out of his league'

In a recent interview with Page Six, Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney, 62, didn't hold back in expressing his admiration for his wife, human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, 45. The couple, often regarded as relationship goals, has been together since they first met in the picturesque setting of Lake Como, Italy, in 2013.

Clooney remarked that meeting Amal was a game-changer in his life. He candidly admitted to "punching above" his league in their marriage, jokingly suggesting that everyone would agree with that assessment. The couple exchanged vows in the romantic setting of the Aman Canal Grande Hotel in Italy, just a year after their initial encounter.

Sources close to the couple have revealed that George still holds the belief, almost a decade into their marriage, that he "hit the jackpot" with Amal. The actor, who once held the title of Hollywood's most eligible bachelor, found a soulmate who, in his own words, "swept him off his feet."

George Clooney playfully remarked about how his entire career has been reduced to being "Amal Clooney's husband," showcasing his humorous perspective on their high-profile relationship.
