NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The New York City Police Department (NYPD) arrested four people after a group of pro-Palestinian protesters allegedly entered a ZARA store in New York City on Black Friday, November 28, blowing whistles and waving a Palestinian flag.

NYPD officials told Fox News that officers responded to the scheduled protests near the store on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan and found that there were about 70 protesters boycotting Black Friday.

Pro-Palestinian protesters take over NYC streets

According to the outlet and videos that have gone viral, a protester was seen blowing a whistle inside a New York City ZARA store on Black Friday. A woman was also heard screaming inside the store, "They fund the genocide, Free Palestine!"

As tensions grew in New York City, many protesters barged into the ZARA store and were seen on video quickly being ushered out by police officers. As of 4 PM local time, the demonstrators were seen noisily marching south on Fifth Avenue, on the sidewalk.

Interestingly, the same protesters were later seen on video chanting outside the Microsoft store, as per the outlet. "We will not be complicit in the exploitation of our neighbors, including children," a protester shouted.

"Black children. Brown children. We say no more. And we say shame!," the protester added.

Meanwhile, a man on the street was heard telling protesters, "f**k you, you piece of s**t. All of you are …" before smiling and walking away.

Moreover, the Police said that the protest ended early Friday evening and that no active investigation is underway.

Tom Homan says NYC will see rise in 'ICE enforcement' before Mamdani takes office

President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, warned on November 18 that New Yorkers will see an increase in federal immigration enforcement before Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani takes office.

During an interview on Fox News, Homan also said he plans to hold Mayor Eric Adams’ administration accountable for its commitment to reopen ICE’s office on Rikers Island.

He said on 'America’s Newsroom,' "Me and Mayor Adams at one point had an agreement to let ICE into Rikers Island so we could arrest the public safety threats and the safety and security of that facility, but the City Council shut it down."

Moreover, Trump’s border czar also mentioned he plans to return to New York City soon, and added that there will be more immigration agents on city streets as part of a federal crackdown.

"I plan on being in New York City in the near future. We’re gonna do operations in New York City, we’re already there now, the teams are there now," he said.

He also mentioned, "But we will increase the enforcement presence in New York City. Again, because they’re a sanctuary city and there are public safety threats hitting the streets every day."

Homan made the warning just weeks before Zohran Mamdani is set to be sworn in as mayor, replacing Eric Adams, who had previously been an ally of Homan and the Trump administration.
