“We used to talk a lot more,” Pamela Anderson, 57, admitted. “Not recently, unfortunately, but I wish we did have a better rapport right now.”
Pamela, who ended her three-year marriage to Tommy in 1998 remains optimistic about rekindling her bond with her first husband. With their son Dylan recently engaged to his longtime girlfriend Paula Bruss in July 2024, she’s hopeful new members may join their family in the near future.
“We’re going to have grandkids together,” she said. “It’ll be OK, eventually. It’s just kind of a moment right now.” Anderson also emphasized that Lee has remained consistent in their sons’ lives, adding, “They see him all the time.”
While Anderson didn’t disclose the exact reason for their rift, she made it clear it has nothing to do with Lee’s wife, Brittany Furlan, whom he married in 2019. Anderson has publicly expressed her approval of Furlan, calling her "great" and supportive of Lee.
“He’s married and happy, and she’s good to him,” Anderson told Howard Stern in 2023. “And I totally support that.”
Pamela Anderson reflects on her love for Tommy Lee and struggles that tore them apart
In her 2023 memoir, 'Love, Pamela', actress and activist Pamela Anderson opens up about her whirlwind romance with rocker Tommy Lee, describing it as the most profound love she has ever experienced, as reported by People.
Reflecting on the early days of their relationship, Anderson, shared, “We just wanted to have babies and be together forever.” She and Lee, the 'Motley Crue' drummer, tied the knot in 1995.
In her memoir, Anderson admits that her feelings for Lee were unmatched. “My relationship with Tommy may have been the only time I was ever truly in love,” she wrote.
However, the pressures of fame and family life ultimately strained their relationship, leading to a breaking point in 1998. Anderson recalled a harrowing incident when Lee became violent while she was holding their seven-month-old son Dylan, with Brandon nearby.
“Tommy ripped Brandon off me and threw me and Dylan into a wall,” Anderson recounted. Panicked, she called 911, resulting in Lee’s arrest and a six-month jail sentence. “Our hell began,” she wrote, reflecting on the traumatic event.
Following the incident, Anderson filed for divorce, a decision she described as the most difficult of her life. “The divorce from Tommy was the hardest, lowest, most difficult point of my life,” she shared. “I was crushed. I still couldn’t believe that the person I loved the most was capable of what had happened that night. We were both devastated, but I had to protect my babies.”
