WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash) faced people’s wrath online after she appeared to laugh at the news coverage of a minor girl's rape by a migrant.

Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, 25, an Ecuadorian migrant, allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in New York’s Queens Park on June 13.

Pramila Jayapal did not show empathy toward 13-year-old girl’s rape

Jayapal and MSNBC host Joy Reid discussed the incident on ‘The Reidout’ earlier this week, The New York Post reported.

The 58-year-old politician said, “There’s a lot of fear-mongering,” while speaking highly of President Joe Biden’s executive order, which allows undocumented immigrants to apply for official permanent residency if they are married to Americans.

Reid then mentioned how different media houses covered the commander-in-chief’s executive order announcement.

The TV host stated, “Here’s the three cable networks’ reporting of this. Our [MSNBC’s] banner said, ‘Soon: Biden announces legal protections for undocumented spouses of citizens.’ CNN’s banner said, ‘Biden announces new protections for some undocumented spouses.’”

“Here was Fox’s banner, ‘Migrant arrested for raping 13-year-old New York City girl,’” she added while suggesting Fox News did not report the executive order.

Jayapal then seemed to be scoffing at the broadcast as she noted, “Ha! Yes.”

“And so I think that’s a part of the problem,” Reid remarked, to which the Democratic Party member added, “Exactly.”

Homeland Security Committee chairman blasts Pramila Jayapal

However, Homeland Security Committee chairman Mark Green (R-Tenn) fired back at Jayapal.

He reportedly said, “Unfortunately, Ms Jayapal’s callous and heartless response to these tragedies represents how many on the left, including in Washington, view those impacted by the Biden administration’s open borders.”

“The truth is, they see only a political benefit in refusing to enforce our laws — the human devastation left behind is simply collateral damage,” he alleged.

Green added, “I wish lawmakers on the other side of the aisle would take this crisis seriously, and that starts with admitting that, thanks to President Biden and [Homeland Security] Secretary Mayorkas, many Americans are now rightfully afraid.”

Netizens label Pramila Jayapal ‘a horrible person’

Besides, a lot of people slammed Jayapal as an X user tweeted, “Just EVIL!!!”

Another user wrote, “Disgusting inside and out.”

“She is one sick depraved person. We need to vote her out the first chance we get too.  She laughed and went the 12-year-old American child was raped and murdered by illegals. Think about that,” one user commented.

“She’s mostly on the wrong side with our issues,” a user stated.

Another added, “She is an absolute disgrace along with @MSNBC and Joy Reid!”

An individual said, “She laughed at the news of a 13-year-old girl brutally raped by a machete-wielding illegal entrant from Ecuador who was ordered to leave the USA (deportation order). The voters in WA need to send her packing from Congress and we can all laugh at the end of her political career.”

Another individual noted, “What a horrible person, don't vote for this in November. This is the true face of leftism - no empathy.”
