Prince Harry feeling 'betrayed' by Prince William over his bond with Queen Camilla, says royal author
LONDON, UK: Prince Harry is reportedly feeling ‘betrayed’ as his older brother and heir to the throne, Prince William, is warming up to their stepmother, Queen Camilla.
Amid King Charles and Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis, Queen Camilla and the Prince of Wales are leading the monarchy from the front, which has led to a cordial relationship between the duo, according to sources.

Prince Harry reportedly sees this as ‘betrayal’
Royal expert and author Tom Quinn recently shared that he feels the Duke of Sussex is not happy over the close bond between the future monarch and King Charles III’s second wife, Queen Camilla.
Quinn said, "He really distrusts that William actually gets on rather well now with Camilla – Harry will see this as a betrayal," per The Mirror.
Quinn explained, "He was shocked when William realized that Camilla, far from being the monster they thought her when they were children, is actually a rather nice woman.”
Praising Camilla, who married into the royal family in 2005 when the two now-feuding princes were rather young, Quinn said, "She is exceptionally good at listening with a sympathetic ear and William has definitely warmed to that."
Harry, on the other hand, has always been critical of his stepmother ever since leaving the royal duties in 2020. Quinn said that the Montecito duke still has the notion of Camilla being the “third wheel” in Charles and Diana’s marriage.
The royal expert said, "Harry on the other hand sees this as one more example of William letting the side down — for Harry things have never moved on really since his mother died.”
He added, "For Harry, Camilla was the wicked stepmother back then, and she still is,” before explaining, "It's all very sad, but shows that the huge geographical divide between the brothers — Harry in America, William in London —has become a physical manifestation of their emotional separation.”
Prince Harry's opinion on Queen Camilla
During his recent outing on ‘Good Morning America’, when Harry was asked about the queen, he said, “She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother.”
He also clarified, “I see someone who married into this institution and has done everything that she can to improve her own reputation and her own image for her own sake.”
Nevertheless, in his memoir ‘Spare’, the younger royal had a more constrained opinion about their “wicked stepmother," per OK! Magazine.
He wrote, “Despite Willy and me urging him not to, Pa was going ahead. We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings.”
He continued, “We recognized that he was finally going to be with the woman he loved, the woman he’d always loved,” before adding, “Like all the wicked stepmothers in storybooks.”
He also wrote that William “long harbored suspicions about the other woman.”
