Source reveals why Kate Middleton disclosed cancer diagnosis alone, claims Prince William ensures privacy
LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince William is proud of Kate Middleton's courage and ensures she has all the privacy to recover from cancer which she announced in a solo video message on Friday, March 22, a source has revealed.
Why did Kate Middleton appear solo in the cancer announcement video?
Following her abdominal surgery in January, Kate revealed that she was undergoing cancer treatment.
Notably, she appeared solo in the video, prompting curiosity about why her husband, 41-year-old Prince William, wasn’t by her side.
According to a palace source, People reported that the decision for Kate to deliver the message personally was deliberate and released at the appropriate time.
“It is a message from the princess about her health, and she wanted to personally deliver the message on her own," the source said, adding that William has been a support for her throughout ever since she was diagnosed with cancer.
Besides allowing both her and the prince to process the news, they created a private environment for the family to come together during the coming weeks.
The driving force behind this decision was the need to give their young family space. Prince George,10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, were home for Easter holidays.
Princess Kate stated in the two-minute address, “William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."

Prince William is focused on Kate Middleton's privacy and protecting their children
The source further elaborated to the publication how William was making sure Kate is not disturbed until she is fully recovered.
“William is extremely proud of his wife for the courage and strength she has shown, not just this week, but since her surgery in January,” the insider revealed further.
The source further noted, “Now more than ever, he is focused on ensuring his wife’s privacy during her recovery and shielding their children from the understandable interest in the news.”
Prince William has decided not to return to royal duties until George, Charlotte, and Louis return to the Lambrook School classroom in late April.
A close friend of the couple told the publication, “The children are at the center of their world.” Another friend added, “You take heart from the extraordinary resilience of children.”
