Kate Middleton delayed revealing cancer diagnosis as family took time to explain it to her three children
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: After Kate Middleton made the shocking announcement that she was diagnosed with cancer on Friday, March 22, many wondered why it wasn't made public earlier.
Well, it seems like the Princess of Wales needed time to reassure her three young children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, that she's "going to be ok."
Kate Middleton took time to explain her cancer diagnosis to her children
Over a video message, Middleton disclosed that she is currently undergoing chemotherapy as she was diagnosed with cancer after undergoing the "planned abdominal surgery" in January.
She noted, "This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family."
"As you can imagine, this has taken time. It has taken me time to recover from major surgery in order to start my treatment. But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte, and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be OK," elaborated the Princess of Wales.
"As I have said to them, I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal, in my mind, body, and spirits," as per SkyNews.
