Chief executive of the Diana Award supports Prince William

However, Tessy Ojo, chief executive of the Diana Award, has praised him for maintaining his cool amid such personal turmoil.

Referring to his March 14 appearance at a Diana Award charity event, Ojo told People, “He said that it was refreshing to hear all the amazing things the young people were doing. In the context now, knowing he was dealing with so much and that he was in a place where there was such positivity, it was refreshing.”

She continued, “In some sense, when you're dealing with such bad news, you need hope and positivity, and the event was all about that. “Everyone needs hope and I know he had heaps of that on that evening. And hopefully, he took that home,” Ojo said.

Tessy Ojo sad that Kate Middleton was pressured into making her condition public

Ojo also mentioned Kate and expressed, “My heart went out to her. It was a sad and emotional video. For her having to feel the pressure to explain everything and address this — it wasn’t just a statement.”

“She had to address this, on video, in some sense. I can’t think about the courage and the strength she would have had to rustle up to make that happen,” she said.

Ojo further told the publication, "I felt sad she had to do that. It was hard — you could tell from the video. It was sad, from a woman to another woman, amid the mental torture these past few weeks.”

“Personally, I am sad that they have had to endure this ongoing social media conspiracy theory, knowing what they were battling internally. The least we can do is show kindness,” she added.

Internet supports Prince William amid Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis

Meanwhile, people on Facebook have the same thoughts as Ojo as a user wrote, “Sending prayers for you and your family and hugs this will be better in Jesus' name amen.”

Another user commented, “They had a very good reason for wanting to keep this private. Then everybody is just digging their claws in for gossip when in the end it's their personal lives. I feel so bad for all of them. Imagine dealing with this and having all the harassment, and public scrutiny over photos. Heartbreaking. Wish them the best.”

The third one said, “I am so sad for them! Love her! I hope she knows she can get through this. Stay positive and have faith!”

The fourth user shared, “Feel so sorry for him, praying for the family may God give Kate total recovery.”

The fifth one added, “Maybe the Firm could give him a month or two to be with his family. I am sure the country and Monarchy would survive him not smiling and shaking hands for a short time.”
