Burgess Owens slams Harvard on ‘Fox & Friends’ as he discusses subpoenas issued in antisemitism probe
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Co-host Guy Benson was joined by congressman Burgess Owens to discuss the subpoenas issued by House Republicans to Harvard University leaders on the February 18 episode of 'Fox & Friends'.
The subpoenas demand that the university hand over all documents relevant to the antisemitism probe being conducted by a House committee within March 4.
In response, a Harvard University spokesperson stated, "Harvard has provided fulsome and good faith responses across 10 submissions totaling more than 3,500 pages that directly address key areas of inquiry."

While acknowledging that Harvard did send over a large volume of documents, the Utah Representative claimed that 40% of that was already in the public domain and they did not provide the data that the committee was looking for.
"We're asking for things like the minutes for the meetings that they are having, the response for antisemitism that's been going on there," said Owens.
"32 different groups are there on campus that are pro-Hamas. We want to find out what they are doing to make sure Jewish students are feeling comfortable."
"What we're seeing here with Harvard is unfortunately what we're seeing with a lot of corporations," continued Owens. "It's systemic arrogance. Instead of dealing with the issues that we talk about, they're trying to slow-walk."
"We finally have a Congress ... that will not put up with it anymore. We want answers, (and) make sure that kids come out of these colleges we're spending money (on) not only with degrees that make a difference, but loving our country and have a chance to go out without all the debt that they are dealing with."
Objectives of the investigation
Responding to the co-host's question, Ownes claimed that there is a "systemic issue of antisemitism, hatred, and divicism" taking place on college campuses.
"It's not just Harvard by the way, there's something called the 'Marxification' of education ... we've been going through this over the last few decades where Marxists are changing our educational systems and indoctrinating our kids not to love our country, to come out divisive, not be able to think (or) have a vision for our future. This is truly a national security issue," he stated.
"So we are holding all these colleges accountable ... We need to make sure that kids come out (from institutions) loving our nation, being able to be productive - and right now our colleges are not helping in that process for sure," concluded the congressman.
