LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Nick Reiner was not kicked out of his parents’ house the night before he allegedly killed Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner. A source close to the situation shared an update about Nick. The clarification came after online speculation blew up.
TMZ reports of online speculation that Rob forced his son, Nick, out of the Brentwood home late on Saturday night, December 13. The story claimed it happened after Rob returned from Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party. Nick is currently being held without bail and has been placed on su***de watch.

As per the outlet, the source claimed that Nick left home on his own accord. What pushed him to leave is still unclear. Nick and Rob reportedly got into a heated argument at O’Brien’s party. It’s unknown whether that argument continued once they returned to the Reiner home.
Sources revealed that Nick was not in a stable mental state at the time of the killings. They said, “Nick’s mental instability went beyond consuming illegal substances. We’re told prescription drugs ‘messed with his head.’”
Nick is said to have checked into a Santa Monica hotel early Sunday morning, reportedly after the murder. Later that afternoon, Rob and Michele were found stabbed to death inside their home. That same evening, Nick was arrested near the University of Southern California campus, close to Downtown Los Angeles.
The outlet also reported Nick had been acting off in the days leading up to the murders. Employees at a gas station the family regularly visited said he looked 'drained' and 'abnormal.'
Nick now faces two counts of first-degree murder. His arraignment has been delayed until January. He is currently being held without bond at Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has released official reports confirming the cause of death of film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Singer Reiner.
According to the them both deaths have been ruled a homicide. The cause of death for Rob and Michele Reiner is listed as 'multiple sharp force injuries'. Their bodies were discovered after their daughter, Romy, went to check on them.
In a statement released by Rob and Michele’s children, Romy and Jake, said, “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day. The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”
