‘What an absolute disgrace’: RFK Jr draws flak as DNC accuses his campaign of being 'spoiler’ for Trump
WASHINGTON, DC: The Robert F Kennedy Jr presidential campaign is being accused by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of admitting being a 'spoiler' in the November election after a campaign staff member was caught on camera debating tactics, as per Fox News.
Notably, in a video analyzed by Fox News Digital, a self-identified Kennedy campaign aide Rita Palma stated to a group of Republicans in New York, "The only way that Trump can even, remote possibility of taking New York is if Bobby is on the ballot. If it’s Trump vs Biden, Biden wins. Biden wins six days, seven days a week. With Bobby in the mix, anything can happen."

At another point in the video, Palma said, "How do we block Biden from winning the presidency? Again, that’s the number one priority for me."
She clarified that both Kennedy and Trump voters see Biden as 'our mutual enemy'. She claimed to have voted for Trump in both 2016 and 2020.
Based on the notion that Republicans have 'accepted the fact' that 'most of the northeast states' are 'going to go blue', Palma laid out a plan that would lessen Biden's chances of receiving the 270 votes necessary to win the presidency and send the matter to Congress, where Trump would almost certainly be selected, meaning 'we're rid of Biden either way'.
The DNC promptly issued a statement implying that this video—which CNN initially reported on—further substantiates the accusation Democrats have been leveling at Kennedy for some time now that RFK Jr's campaign is an attempt to sabotage Biden's candidacy.
The press release from the Democrats read, "RFK Jr’s campaign is saying the quiet part out loud: he is a spoiler for Donald Trump. RFK Jr was recruited into this race by Trump allies, his candidacy is propped up by Trump’s largest donor, and now his own staff admits that their number one goal in this election is stopping Joe Biden."
It further read, "As the saying goes, when people show you who they are, believe them: RFK Jr’s campaign isn’t building a plan or a strategy to get 270 electoral votes, they’re building one to help Trump return to the Oval Office."
The Kennedy campaign played down Palma's strategic role in a statement to Fox News Digital. It read, "As an Independent movement, our supporters, volunteers, and field organizers come from all sides of the political spectrum and their reasons for supporting Mr Kennedy are as disparate as their backgrounds."
It added, "Rita Palma is a ballot access consultant responsible for scheduling volunteer shifts for our upcoming signature collection drive in the Empire State. She is not involved in electoral strategy, nationally or in New York. This was not a campaign event. Palma was speaking as a private citizen and her statements in no way reflect the strategy of the Kennedy campaign, which is to win the White House with votes from former Trump and Biden supporters alike."
