'Sad to see': Laura Loomer calls out Trump for praising Zohran Mamdani during White House meet
WASHINGTON, DC: After President Donald Trump praised New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani during a White House meeting on Friday, November 21, conservative activist Laura Loomer criticized the president, saying that his support might 'normalize communism.'
Loomer, who is a staunch Trump supporter, claimed that Mamdani's socialism and his past fiery speeches could be used against the Republicans' idea and their plan for the next midterm elections.
So we are just going to normalize communism?

Aren’t you a host of a conservative radio program? @ClayTravis
What are you preserving by glazing communism, anti-white racism, Jew hatred, open borders and Islamic terror?
Sad to see.

Laura Loomer calls out Republicans backing Zohran Mamdani
Loomer, in a series of posts on X, was very angry that Trump and Mamdani seemed to agree on something and wrote, "So we are just going to normalize communism?"
She further stated that in case the Republican Party looks like it is supporting Mamdani, "the GOP will lose the midterms," which implies that his policies are very un-American.
Loomer also pointed to the contradictions that she sees between Mamdani calling himself a democratic socialist and his choice of travel. She ridiculed the photo he shared from a plane by asking, "Why not just take the train? Also, is that first class?"
Laura Loomer accuses Zohran Mamdani of deeper ideological threats
Loomer escalated the situation by labeling Mamdani a 'jihadist communist' in a post that cited his past associations.
She attacked his ideas as well: "Mamdani wants the whites to be taxed more. Mamdani wants to ban ICE... What is the GOP going to campaign on before the midterms if the GOP is saying that Mamdani is good?"
She also compared the welcome Mamdani had at the White House with the one President Trump gave to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier and said that "Trump was much harsher" to a leader of a country at war than to the mayor-elect of New York City with socialist leanings.
She presented the difference as a demonstration of double standards, asserting that Zelensky—still under invasion—got a colder welcome, whereas Mamdani was greeted with compliments and receptivity.
Loomer’s attack even went as far as the Oval Office meeting being a staged show for the media. With the words “a jihadist communist” standing behind the President’s desk, “it was wild,” she explained—a statement that pointed out her uneasiness with the visuals rather than giving a direct line of fire against Trump.
She kept her point across that it was not the president she was condemning but that bringing Mamdani to the Oval Office was a risk of sending a mixed message to voters about border security, public safety, and ideological extremism.
Trump’s pivot to Mamdani shocks any of his supporters
Only a few months ago, Trump labeled Mamdani as a "100 percent Communist lunatic" and threatened to stop federal aid to New York City.
However, in their last meeting in the Oval Office, Trump seemed to have dropped the harsh tone, calling Mamdani ‘a rational person’ and even indicating his openness to work together on the issues they both prioritized, such as affordability and public safety.
