MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Sahara Dula, an alleged Black Lives Matter (BLM) activist, is accused of assault after hitting an NYPD officer with her car on Wednesday.

While the police were preoccupied with an abandoned getaway car, she was trying to get into the intersection. The aforementioned vehicle was utilized in the heist of $10,000 worth of merchandise from a posh Madison Avenue store that afternoon.

Dula drove her black Lexus the wrong way at a high speed for several blocks, according to the criminal complaint.

She quickly stepped on the gas, hitting and hurting a 19th Precinct officer when he stopped her car at East 71st Street. Subsequently, the BLM activist rationalized that she struck the police officer because he was immovably positioned and obstructing her path.

Dula reportedly told authorities at the crime scene, "F**k these cops, it's a lesson to him." She claimed to have intentionally struck the police officer, saying the ordeal ought to teach him a lesson, as reported by Daily Mail.

Dula provided investigators with the following information, "Hopefully he doesn't want to be a cop anymore."

The 24-year-old reportedly admitted to police that she was high on marijuana, and her Lexus was discovered to be strongly smelling of the drug. Dula had some cannabis buds in the cup holder of her car.

Sahara Dula was accused of vehicular assault, serious injury, impaired driving, and reckless endangerment.

In the incident's footage, Dula's car is seen making quite a scene in the video, which was taken from inside a moving vehicle heading into traffic.

She was also driving in the incorrect lane. Because of the annoyance, a driver from another car also came to a stop and exited. Then the policeman showed up, and Sahara Dula could see him waving for her to stop her car, according to Fox News.

But the fancy car darts forward and strikes the officer, sending him hurtling out of control. A passerby tried to help the officer stand up, but the wound caused him to lie back down. The prosecution claimed he had a broken leg in addition to other bruises.
