Samantha Markle says Meghan and Prince Harry damaged two families: 'I thought she'd stop at the Queen'
OCALA, FLORIDA: Meghan Markle's step-sister Samantha recently said that her sister's relationship with Harry affected the two families, especially her mother Roslyn who died in October.
The relationship between Meghan and Harry made the whole world turn its attention to the Markle family and all its dysfunction. Now Samantha fears that her father Thomas, 80, has less time left having had two heart attacks and a stroke in the recent years, according to Mirror UK.
Samantha Markle says Meghan Markle and Prince Harry affected two families
Samantha Markle spoke for the first time publicly since her mother's demise. She said, "Meghan has no idea what she is missing out on because when my dad (Thomas) goes, it will be too late. Believe me, I know. You can't get back that time. It leaves a hole in your heart."
She continued, "I don't know the royal family. I'm just a human, watching from across the pond, but I couldn't believe it. As souls, we don't want our kids to pay us back. My dad doesn't want Meghan to pay him back. But you want love from them because there is a pain in your heart if it isn't there."
She further said, "I didn't want my mom to die feeling she was alone, and not loved. I almost left it too late. They could both learn from me."
However, in the recent years, Samantha said she was hurt after Meghan suggested Prince Harry's clan was the big family she "never had". Despite making such a claim, Meghan quit her royal life in 2020 and left the UK for the US with Harry, two years after they got married.
Moreover, Meghan has given controversial interviews about The Firm since, and also mimicked curtseying to the Queen during the couple's 2022 Netflix docuseries, according to the outlet.
Samantha said, "I never thought I would see Meghan do what she has done to the royal family. She's done what she did to her own family to so many other people, too. I knew my dad had suffered, but I thought she would stop at the Queen."
During an interview with Daily Mail on Friday, November 23, Samantha said that Harry "allowed" his wife to "mock" the late monarch with the act.
Reportedly, Meghan was close to Samantha when she grew up and now Samantha desperately wants Meghan to get in touch with their father, although she remains pessimistic.
Samantha added, "If you accept an olive branch, you are asking to be hurt again. I think that would be weird. It would be hard to trust that she was doing it for the right reasons. I think what makes me sad now is there were so many missed opportunities for love and real family."
Samantha Markle talks about Prince Harry-Meghan Markle's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey
During the interview with Daily Mail, Samantha Markle spoke about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's infamous 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. She emphasized Harry's implication that he never had fun with King Charles and wasn't able to go bike riding with him as a child.
Samantha said, "Then we saw all those pictures of him rolling in the grass with Charles, laughing, riding on the back of his bike. I want to say to him 'Why did you say it? Do you know what a gift that is? Maybe you didn't get that every day, but you had it, and your family gave you those experiences'."
She added, "I'd ask Harry 'What did you give them? Heartache? Grief?'"
