WASHINGTON, DC: Republican strategist Scott Jennings defended President Donald Trump against growing speculation about his health, calling the narrative baseless.

The mention of Trump’s October MRI by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sparked a panel discussion, where Jennings dismissed the host’s questions about the timing as an attempt to create a false storyline.

Jennings immediately pushed back on the idea that Trump’s sensitivity about his health indicates any real concern when speaking with Jamie Gangel.

He replied, “Have you ever met a 79-year-old man who wasn’t? I’m just saying, he’s constantly being pinged. He’s constantly being attacked unfairly for having something wrong. There’s nothing wrong with this man. He’s clearly fine. He’s up all hours of the night communicating with the American people, and yet he still has to face all these ridiculous attacks. You might be sensitive too.”

Gangel acknowledged his point but maintained caution, saying, “Scott, you may be right but we certainly don’t know it from his medical history.”

Scott Jennings says Democrats are projecting Biden’s health issues onto Trump

After host Kasie Hunt questioned whether Donald Trump’s sudden announcement of an October MRI, meant to rule out cardiovascular problems, signaled confusion or health issues, Scott Jennings rejected the premise outright.

He argued the questioning is politically motivated, saying, “I honestly think this is to create a narrative about this guy that just doesn't exist because Democrats are so butthurt over having to live through the humiliation of the White House under Biden, claiming he was fine when he clearly wasn't. They want to transfer that to Donald Trump. It's just not the same. It's not true. And, you know, I can only speak from my personal experience. He seemed fine to me.”

Scott Jennings says firsthand Oval Office meeting shows Trump is healthy

Jennings supported his argument by describing his recent interactions with President Donald Trump and highlighting the president’s demanding schedule.

He noted, “I saw the man a few days ago in the Oval Office for about an hour. He looked and sounded fine to me. We talked about a wide range of issues. There were people coming and going. It was as bustling as it’s ever been in there when I’ve been in there.”

He continued, “And I didn’t notice anything at all.”

Jennings also pointed to Trump’s stamina, saying, “I watched most of the cabinet meeting today, which took a very long time because it lasted three hours. And at the end of it, the president then did his customary gaggle with the press and answered all of their questions."
