LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sean Diddy Combs was allegedly jealous of Tupac Shakur and The Notorious BIG's friendship in the years before their deaths.

Several former acquaintances and coworkers of Diddy were questioned for a lengthy Rolling Stone piece, published on Tuesday, May 28, which provided additional light on the alleged abusive behavior of the Bad Boy Records founder over time.

Several lawsuits alleging sexual assault and sex trafficking are pending against Diddy. In March, raids were conducted on his houses in Miami and Los Angeles as part of an ongoing Homeland Security probe, per PEOPLE.

Sean Diddy reportedly 'jealous' of Shakur's friendship with The Notorious BIG

Sean 'Diddy' Combs was the flamboyant showman of hip-hop for many years. Several former acquaintances, staff members, and Bad Boy performers now claimed that there is a frightening, violent person hiding behind the appearance.

In one anecdote, president and former Bad Boy partner Kirk Burrowes claimed that Diddy, 54, felt betrayed when Biggie Smalls (real name Christopher Wallace) and Shakur became friends.

Burrowes claimed that Diddy was constantly "jealous" of Tupac and Biggie's initial bond. Speaking with the outlet, he stated that although Diddy liked Tupac, the connection wasn't reciprocal.

The renowned West Coast rapper, on the other hand, was more eager to be close to Biggie. Burrowes remarked of Diddy, "There was someone on the sidelines, jealous."

Shakur was signed to the competing Death Row Records, while Biggie was signed to Bad Boy. However, the Rolling Stone story claimed that Diddy was "fond" of Shakur and made an attempt to get to know him; the 'California Love' rapper refused to participate.

Tupac Shakur allegedly had no 'respect' for Sean 'Diddy' Combs

Rolling Stone verified Burrowes' sentiments when speaking with hip-hop photographer Monique Bunn.

"Pac didn’t have any kind of respect for Puff," Bunn said to the outlet, adding that Tupac considered Biggie to be a peer and Diddy a "corny executive."

Bunn claimed that everything "got blown out of proportion" after the 1994 incident where Tupac was shot five times in a New York City recording studio because he believed Diddy and his Bad Boy gang had set him up.

Tupac and Biggie's hostility soon escalated, and in September 1996, Tupac, then 25 years old, was shot and killed in a drive-by in Las Vegas. Biggie, who was 24 years old, was shot and killed in Los Angeles less than a year later.

Bunn told Rolling Stone that Wallace intended to depart Bad Boy shortly before he was killed. He affirmed, "I know for a fact [because] he told me that."

Additionally, Burrowes told the publication that following Biggie's death, Rolling Stone contacted Diddy about having him appear on the cover; however, Diddy insisted on taking the position himself.

"I was telling Sean, ‘Let’s make it Biggie. You still have a chance [for a cover in the future]. He’s like, ‘No, he’s dead. I’m putting out [Combs’ debut album No Way Out] in July. I need to be on the cover of Rolling Stone," Burrowes declared.

Social media users took to X (formerly Twitter) to slam the rap mogul with one user exclaiming, "I think his time is coming to an end received they’ve got enough evidence to convict him for 2pac death"

A second user noted, "He had a hand in BOTH of them getting killed. Ppl never wanted to believe it," referring to Tupac and Biggie's killings.

"Puffy was an evil force in hip-hop. He’s the financier of the murder of Pac," echoed another one.

One more remarked, "He didn’t like Pac bc Pac saw through his BS so he caused that tension between him and BIG"

"I'm sure he instigated a whole lot and caused their fight," assumed another, echoing a similar expression.

"Everything about this “man” screams conniving and evil. His eyes tell me he’s had live times of wanting to control. He’s lowkey the devil card in the flesh," seethed another one.
