Several gunshots fired at Rihanna's California mansion while singer was home
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Several gunshots were fired at Rihanna’s mansion located in Beverly Hills, California, by a woman in her 30s while the singer was at home. However, it’s not clear whether her partner A$AP Rocky and their three young children — RZA, Riot Rose, and Rocki — were also home when the attack happened.
The shocking incident happened on Sunday, March 8, in the afternoon, following which the unidentified suspect was arrested. It has been said that the accused fired seven to nine rounds from an AR-15 rifle, with four shots hitting the house of the 38-year-old singer and entrepreneur.
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna 'don't know much' about the incident
However, the motive behind the attack is yet to be determined. Also, a tipster revealed to The New York Post that A$AP Rocky and Rihanna “don’t know much” about the incident, while another source shared that no one was injured in the attack and “they are all doing okay.”
According to LAPD radio dispatch, the suspect fired “approximately 10 shots” from a White Tesla parked across the street from Rihanna's home. She then fled in the car, moving south on Coldwater Canyon Drive.
Robbery-Homicide Division handling the case
However, she could not run away very far as she was soon detained at a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, within minutes after the 911 call came in. The details shared about the unnamed suspect over the radio before her arrest described her hair in braids while her car’s bottom was dirty.
It also said that she was wearing a cream-colored blouse. Reports have now said that the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division is going to investigate the case.
Fullerton man Eduardo Leon broke into Rihanna's house in 2018
However, this was not the first time Rihanna had faced a serious issue. A few years ago, a 27-year-old man, identified as Eduardo Leon, broke into her Hollywood Hills residence.
“On May 9, 2018, Leon hopped a fence and entered a house owned by Rihanna, who was not home at the time. He spent about 12 hours inside the home and was arrested the next day after being discovered by the singer’s assistant,” as per the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
In 2019, Leon “pleaded no contest to stalking singer Rihanna when he broke into her Hollywood Hills home last year,” the Office added.
Following his plea, Leon was sentenced to formal probation for five years. He was also ordered to participate in a dual diagnosis program for mental health and drug treatment as well as was asked to stay away from Rihanna for 10 years.
