RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA: Former President Donald Trump was derided online after he was incapable of pronouncing “Venezuela” while speaking at a rally at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in North Carolina on Saturday, March 2.

The Tar Heel State will hold its primary election on March 5, 2024, and the 77-year-old MAGA strongman endorsed North Carolina Lt Gov Mark Robinson for the role of Governor, after having previously vowed to do so.

What did Donald Trump say during his rally speech on Saturday?

The former President made a blunder onstage amid reports that advanced aging has been impairing his mental faculties, according to OK Magazine.

“Did you just see Maduro Venezue..(intelligible) it’s unbelievable,” Trump remarked onstage referring to President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela.

Some likened the slip-up to that of President Joe Biden, who has been increasingly chastised for gaffes in his speeches.

As the 2024 presidential election approaches, anxiety over Trump's health has escalated.

On Thursday, February 29, there was some more suspicion about the former President's physical well-being after a video surfaced in which he appeared to be dragging his right leg.

The original video showed the GOP presidential frontrunner entering a room full of people cheering as he made unusually odd leg movements.

Both Biden, 81, and Trump, 77, have received significant backlash due to their advanced age, which has sparked rumors that the party stalwarts may be suffering from memory problems.

Internet skewers Donald Trump for mispronouncing Venezuela on Saturday

People on X were quick to bash the former POTUS after he butchered the pronunciation of Venezuela in his latest campaign speech.

One X user remarked: "You would think that after enacting harsh sanctions on Venezuela and then signing an order to prevent deportations of Venezuelan migrants and give them work permits, Trump would know how to pronounce Venezuela by now."

Another user said: "An to think ppl are whining Biden is too old. This cat is batshit crazy with a dash of dementia thrown in."

Another user wrote: "He has always had a hard time saying Venezuela! Makes me laugh every time."

One user quipped: "So weak Trump defeated by Venezuela."

Another X user claimed: "This is aphasia which is an early sign of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's."

Finally, this user tweeted: "Of course he did. It's got more than one syllable."
