Spencer Pratt rejects Hannah Einbinder's criticism of mayoral bid: 'She’s part of elite minority'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former reality TV personality Spencer Pratt’s mayoral campaign for Los Angeles has continued to draw reactions from Hollywood figures, with the latest criticism coming from 'Hacks' star Hannah Einbinder.
The actress spoke out against Pratt during a recent event, questioning the support received in the city and referencing his endorsement from President Donald Trump. Pratt quickly responded on social media, adding to a series of public exchanges involving celebrities who have criticized his political ambitions.
She says from a literal red carpet, surrounded by armed security, completely insulated from the horrors on our streets that Angelenos and their kids have to suffer through every day. I’m glad she doesn’t have to suffer the consequences of Karen and Nithya’s failures, but she’s in… https://t.co/alZW9T7LJ8

Hannah Einbinder says 'there's no world' in which one should support Spencer Pratt
Speaking at an event on Friday, May 29, Einbinder took aim at Pratt’s campaign while discussing the Los Angeles mayoral race: “We all know that one of the reasons that politics is so difficult in this city and in this country is because money talks."
"We know that there are people who say they’re Democrats, say they’re leftists, and then will vote for tax reasons and financial reasons. And so I think that we need to really, really be aware of those things," she continued.
"There’s no world in which we should support somebody like Spencer Pratt, who’s endorsed by Donald Trump, no world," Einbinder further added.
The actress also expressed reservations about the choices available in the race but revealed her preferred candidate, “I am underwhelmed in a lot of ways. There are no perfect candidates, but I support Nithya Raman."
Pratt later reposted a clip of Einbinder’s remarks on X (formerly Twitter) and delivered a pointed response. “This is the privilege of Hannah Einbinder. To stand on a red carpet with armed security all around you and lecture people who are trying to survive."
"Her life is untouched by what everyday Angelenos and their children face on our streets every single day. She’s part of the elite minority. The majority are desperate for change,” the mayoral candidate added.
Spencer Pratt responds to celebrity critics as campaign gains momentum
Einbinder is the latest celebrity to criticize Pratt’s mayoral campaign. Earlier in the week, actress and TV personality Lisa Rinna questioned the idea of electing a reality television personality as mayor. “You got me, because listen, I’m a reality person. You wouldn’t want me as mayor, really. I mean, let’s just face it, I love him. I think he’s amazing. I just think we did that,” she said.
Pratt answered her criticism on X, writing, “When your reality TV resume gets attacked by someone who apparently forgot Karen Bass spent her youth taking all-expenses-paid trips to Cuba courtesy of Fidel Castro. Suddenly ‘The Hills’ looks like a stronger qualification.”
He has also clashed with comedian Chelsea Handler. Earlier this month, Handler posted a video criticizing the prospect of a former reality television star with no political experience becoming mayor.
In response, Pratt shared a clip from Netflix’s 'Roast of Kevin Hart' featuring comedian Shane Gillis, who referenced reports that Handler attended a dinner at convicted offender Jeffrey Epstein’s home in 2010.
The public exchanges come as Pratt’s campaign continues to attract attention. According to a recent Los Angeles Times poll, incumbent Mayor Karen Bass leads the race with 26% support, followed by Nithya Raman at 25%, while Pratt is close behind with 22%.
