NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Wil Wheaton has called out Stephen Miller after the White House official shared a tribute to late actor Patrick Stewart on social media. Wheaton, who played Wesley Crusher opposite Stewart in 'Star Trek: The Next Generation', objected to Miller commenting on his former co-star's legacy.

The actor responded directly to Miller on Threads, telling him to keep Stewart's name out of his mouth and adding that the late star disagreed with everything he stood for. Wheaton's reaction came after Miller praised Stewart's contributions to film, television and theater following news of his death at 86.

Miller, who serves as White House deputy chief of staff for policy, posted a message following news of Stewart's death at 86. He described the actor as “one of the most impactful actors in the history of film, television and theater.”

'Star Trek' actor Wheaton was not pleased with Miller's tribute and responded through his Threads account.

“Stephen Miller, on behalf of Star Trek, and everyone who knew and loved him, keep my Captain’s name out of your mouth,” Wheaton wrote. He also added, “He despised you, and everything you stand for.”

The actor's response referred to his close association with Stewart through the science-fiction series. Wheaton played Wesley Crusher, while Stewart portrayed Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Their characters shared several scenes during the show's run from 1987 to 1994.

The pictures reflected their time working together, where Stewart played Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Wheaton portrayed Wesley Crusher, a young member of the Enterprise crew.

“Godspeed, Captain,” Wheaton wrote alongside the pictures.

Stewart died at his home in Los Angeles on October 28 at the age of 86. His family announced that he had experienced a brief journey with Alzheimer's disease and Lewy body dementia.

They also requested that those wishing to honor his memory consider donating to organizations supporting research into the conditions rather than sending flowers. In a statement shared on his official Instagram account, his family remembered his remarkable career across film, television and theater.

Stewart became widely known for playing Captain Picard in 'Star Trek' and Professor Charles Xavier in the 'X-Men' franchise. Several actors remembered Stewart as a kind person and a close friend following news of his death.
