LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: On 'Late Show,' host Stephen Colbert highlighted Donald Trump's “cognitive decline” during recent rallies, showcasing a series of baffling verbal missteps.

Colbert shared clips of the former president struggling to define the word "grocery" and making awkward remarks about Detroit while speaking there.

“Trump also held a rally in Arizona where his brain continued to die a very public death,” Colbert quipped over footage of Trump fumbling over the word "Assyrian." Colbert humorously remarked, “They should have given him a simpler ethnicity to pronounce. Like was anyone in the crowd from grocery?”

This was just one of many examples of Trump's verbal blunders. Colbert also addressed the October 14 celebration of the First Peoples of the Americas, humorously noting the irony of schools being closed while adults still had to work.

He shifted focus to Vice President Kamala Harris, who released a medical report stating she is in “excellent health,” joking that the phrase seemed like a dig at Trump.

“They should follow that up with, ‘Can walk upstairs and is potty trained,’” Colbert added, contrasting Harris’ fitness with Trump’s refusal to release his medical records.

“Do you really want to see his X-rays?” Harris pointed out at a rally, questioning whether Trump was “afraid that people will see that he is too weak and unstable to lead America.”

Colbert pointed out that at 78 years old, Trump is the oldest major party nominee, noting concerns about his health. He joked about Trump’s appearance, saying, “If you saw a makeup job that bad in a casket, you wouldn’t pay the funeral parlor.”

As Colbert continued to dissect Trump’s rally performances, he noted how Trump struggled to articulate his economic plans, stating, “The whole country is going to be like Detroit. If she’s your president, you’re going to have a mess on your hands.”

This line drew laughs for its oddity, reflecting a strange strategy of criticizing the host city.

Colbert didn’t stop there; he highlighted more of Trump’s mispronunciations and confusing statements from his rallies.

“I will very quickly deflet... we are going to take inflation and we are going to deflate it,” Trump said, confusing his own message.

Colbert joked about Trump’s other odd remarks: “I did three of them today. I did a little one, a little tiny one... and I’m still raring to go,” inviting laughter from the audience.
