LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Stephen Colbert has responded to a startling new report suggesting that former President Donald Trump might seek to punish those he views as his enemies if he wins the upcoming election.

According to Rolling Stone, Trump has been expressing frustration over late-night comedians who have criticized him, perceiving their jokes and satire as "illegal" contributions to the Democratic Party.

In light of this revelation, Colbert embraced the notoriety with a mix of humor and defiance.

“Finally, I made an enemies list!” he declared to his audience, who chanted his name in approval. “I mean, obviously, there’s no guarantee I’ll be arrested, but it’s an honor just to be nominated.”

Colbert, ever the comedian, also took the opportunity to joke about his potential future under a Trump administration.

Reflecting on the Rolling Stone article titled 'What If Trump Wins,' which suggested that the chaos of a second Trump term could exceed the turmoil of his first, Colbert quipped, “You know, Rolling Stone magazine just dropped a new article called 'What if Trump wins'. The chaos and lawlessness of the first term could pale in comparison to what comes next. Just when you think it couldn’t get worse, it will. Reminds me of the poorly received sequel Predator 2. Now he's a racist Predator who doesn’t want every skull.”

The Rolling Stone article detailed how Trump’s second term would likely see an expanded list of targets, including late-night hosts who have offended him.

The former president allegedly wants to convince authorities to classify anti-Trump content from shows like 'Saturday Night Live,' 'Jimmy Kimmel Live,' and Colbert’s own show as illegal.

Colbert remarked, “Really? Wow, did you hear that? Incredible. Wonder who he's talking about. Apparently, Trump wants to convince authorities to declare somehow illegal anti-Trump material broadcast by Saturday Night Live, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert.”

In a playful jab, Colbert mused about the possibility of an impending showbiz "punishment." He suggested that if Trump were to win, the fate of talk show hosts might be decided by a hypothetical competition, humorously referring to a fictional scenario where winners are sent to a camp.

“Now, no doubt it’ll all be decided this weekend in Los Angeles. Whoever wins the Emmy for Best Talk Show will be sent to a camp and the goog goes to... so to my old colleague Jon Stewart, I just want you to know I voted for you. Of course, if Jon wins, he’s only incarcerated on Monday.”
