WASHINGTON, DC: Amid rising tensions following the tragic shooting in Washington, DC, on Wednesday, which resulted in the deaths of two National Guard members, United States Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller intensified his criticism of Joe Biden’s administration over its immigration policies.

Earlier, President Donald Trump also blamed the Biden administration for the attack.

Speaking to Fox News, Miller echoed Trump’s statement that the Joe Biden administration and the Democrats are responsible for the “worst national security threat in our history.” He added, “We never faced a threat like this.”

He continued, “Twenty million people brought into our country from failed societies, Afghanistan, Somalia, Libya, Iraq. No conditions, no rules. Brought here on visas, brought here as refugees, brought here as asylees, brought here as illegals, brought here every way imaginable by plane, train, bus, automobile, by land, sea for four straight years."

“They disillusioned this country, and by now more blood has been spilled as a result.”

Miller then added, “President Trump’s government is going to accelerate efforts to review every person added to this country over the last four years, all 20M.”

“Now obviously, if you're an illegal, you're out automatically, but everybody else who was brought here, refugee, asylum status, whatever status, as he said, if you're not someone who loves this country, if you are not adding benefit to this country, then we're going to send you out of this country.”

Miller added, “Because it’s enough already. No one else has to die. No one else has to be murdered. No one else has to be shot. No more empty seats are needed at the Thanksgiving table or Christmas table because of what Democrats have done to this country.”

Trump links Afghan arrivals to security risks

Trump declared the shooting “a heinous assault … an act of evil, an act of hatred and an act of terror.” In the video message, he stated that “every single alien who has entered our country from Afghanistan under Biden be re-examined.”

He further insisted, “We must take all necessary measures to ensure the removal of any alien from any country who does not belong here or add benefit to our country.”

“Based on best available information, the Department of Homeland Security is confident that the suspect in custody is a foreigner who entered our country from Afghanistan… He was flown in by the Biden administration in September 2021,” Trump announced.

He further claimed, “The last administration let in 20 million unknown foreigners from all over the world.”
