NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: In a recent fiery monologue on Fox New's 'Hannity' segment, conservative commentator Sean Hannity lambasted the highly unusual New York v Trump criminal trial that resumed on the morning of May 7, saying it is "shredding our sacred Constitution".

"This is what the weaponization of justice in America looks like," Hannity exclaimed with outrage.

As per the lastest Fox News report, Trump, who is the presumptive Republican presidential nominee for 2024, was once again found in contempt of court on May 7, fined by the judge, warned of potential jail time for future violations of the gag order, and informed that he will need to be present in the Manhattan courtroom for at least another two weeks.

Sean Hannity blasts judge's bias and 'unconstitutional gag order'

In wake of these recent developments, Hannity said, "Of course, the Democratic activist pretending to be a judge is chomping at the bit to lock up Donald Trump, with or without a guilty verdict."

At the heart of Hannity's ire is a perceived bias against Trump, culminating in what he describes as an "unconstitutional gag order" that prevents Trump from defending himself adequately.

"This unconstitutional gag order bars Trump from defending himself. It doesn't stop the other side from saying and doing anything they want, even as witnesses are smearing Trump all over social media and on conspiracy channels like "MSDNC" [MSNBC], " he continued.

"The judge has already fined Trump thousands of dollars for exercising our First Amendment rights and is now threatening to send him to prison," Hannity continued with incredulity.

Hannity also took aim at New York City Mayor Eric Adams, saying, "Fellow Democrat, New York City Mayor Eric Adams, now says Rikers Island is ready and willing to receive the former president of our country."

"This is a disgusting abuse of power from a judge and state prosecutors and everyone else in Biden's orbit who is using our legal system to destroy their political rivals," he added.

Hannity concluded, saying, "Mark my words, no Republican is safe in the state of New York."

Internet users erupt over Hannity's controversial remarks

Social media erupted in outrage over Hannity's controversial comments, sparking a viral storm of criticism on X.

One viewer said, "Stop lying to your viewers. We know you were the third client of Michael Cohen. BTW,,,how’s the rental business? It’s keeping young people from buying homes!"

Another viewer said, "Sure enough Sean! Let’s see the evidence?"

One viewer noted, "The irony of this headline under Hannity's photo though," referring ot the Fox News' news headline reading, "SEAN HANNITY: This is what the weaponization of justice in America looks like"

A follower observed, "It’s also what election interference looks like."

One comment read, "Sorry Sean if is not said by CNN or MSNBC or others Fox News means nothing..."

Another comment read, "With a headline like that, I assume he’s talking about Aileen Cannon trying to punt Trump’s case past the election."

"Fox News is addicted to the word “weaponize," said one person
