'Striking similarity': Jesse Watters trolled as he compares Trump to King Kong amid hush money trial
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News host Jesse Watters drew parallels between the ongoing legal proceedings involving former President Donald Trump and iconic movie character King Kong in his Wednesday, April 24, monologue.
"In 1933, 'King Kong' came out and shook the country," began Watters, setting the stage with a reference to the classic film.
KING DON: In 1933, "King Kong" hit the box office and shook the country. Nearly 100 years later we’re seeing the film come to life as democrats take the monster they fear most, Trump, and lock him up in a New York court like an animal at the Bronx Zoo... and the media is going… pic.twitter.com/iDBAUFOeEj

Jesse Watters unleashes satirical take on Trump's legal drama
Watters likened the public's fascination and fear of King Kong to the current sentiments surrounding Trump, describing how Democrats have metaphorically "chained him up, put him on stage, and sold tickets to the spectacle" amid the hush money case proceedings.
Previously, he had termed Trump's mandatory courtroom presence as "cruel and unusual punishment."
Watters pointed out MSNBC hosts' Trump-in-court claims, saying, "Tickets are going fast to the trial of the century, and TV anchors get first dibs."
He infused his commentary with Rachel Harlow's vivid descriptions of Trump in court, where she said, "Today was the first time I've actually been in the same room with Donald Trump. He is taller than you might expect and walks in a gait that is shufflier than you'd think, kind of a shuffly waddle, and he's definitely a scowler."
Watters replied to the clip, saying, "Is Trump a defendant or a gorilla at a county fair? They're studying him like an anthropologist, taking notes on the color of his hair, his gait, his posture, his weight, poking him through the bars to see how he reacts. Ooh, he looked me in the eyes. Oh, he's getting sleepy."
Things took a satirical turn as Watters addressed the lack of legal analysis in the trial coverage, questioning if anyone knew what crime Trump was accused of.
He said, "They can't even tell us what the crime is. The prosecutor hasn't even told us what the crime is. No one's even wrestling with whether he broke the law. They're just dumbstruck that they actually trapped him."
Watters playfully portrayed Trump as a "slippery little sucker" who had evaded numerous challenges in the past, including bankruptcy, scandals, and political opponents.
He said, "And now that they have him in a cage, they're terrified that he might get out and beat them again. They gaze in awe at him because to them, he's superhuman, half man, half beast. He eats their base, their rust belt. He's invincible to their hoaxes. Politics failed. Their only option, incarceration."
Toward the end of his monologue, he expressed, "Jail him, gag him, fine him, just don't let him out. This case is just a temporary cage because even the New York Times knows it's baloney."
