WASHINGTON, DC: IAhead of the verdict on the gag order in his hush-money case, former president Donald Trump on Wednesday, April 24, called for the removal of several judges in cases involving him, The Hill reported.

Notably, Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the New York hush money case—the former president's initial indictment—was targeted by Trump. In connection with paying his then-fixer Michael Cohen to keep Stormy Daniels silent about an alleged romance with Trump before the 2016 election, Trump is accused of 34 felonies of falsifying business records.

Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post on Wednesday, "We have a Rigged Judge, who is working for the Democrat Party and refuses to terminate this ‘case,’ which should have never been brought by Soft on Crime Alvin Bragg."

He added, "Judge Merchan should immediately removed, and the Appellate Courts have to take over."

Moreover, in the same post, Trump also aimed Judge Lewis Kaplan, who supervised Trump's defamation lawsuit and sentenced him to pay columnist E Jean Carroll $83.3 million, and Judge Arthur Engoron of New York, who presided over a civil fraud case against the former president.

Trump stated, "That also applies to Corrupt Judge Engoron, who knew I did nothing wrong, and still fraudulently fined me $500 Million Dollars while having no knowledge of Valuation, Finance, or in any way what he was doing."

He further wrote, "Same with Judge Kaplan, who allowed a woman, who I have never met (celebrity photo line does not count!), and know nothing about, to get a lawless judgment of $90 Million Dollars. New York Justice is in shambles, and only the Appellate Courts can save it. A Republican doesn’t stand a chance – This is not Justice…"

Notably, the Manhattan district attorney's office prosecutors contend that the former president violated Merchan's gag order 10 times. He is forbidden under the order from attacking the judge's family, witnesses, court staff, and prosecutors.

Todd Blanche, a lawyer for Trump, has maintained that his client was reacting to political criticism.

On Tuesday, April 23, Judge Merchan stated that he would hold off on making a judgment about the purported gag order violations. However, he told Blanche he was beginning to lose credibility after asserting that Trump was 'being very careful' to avoid breaking the gag order.

Several internet users slammed Donald Trump as he called for the removal of several judges ahead of the verdict on the gag order in his hush-money case.

A social media user wrote on X, "It's beyond pathetic he doesn't even understand how our legal system works! He loves blaming President Biden. We need more folks like you explaining how the legal system works. Indicted by a GRAND JURY! He keeps calling on Congress help him as if they can do anything for him!"

One individual said, "Donny has to sit at the defendant's table all day. This is the only form of discipline this man baby has ever had," while another added, "Fewer and fewer people care what he says. They are sick of him whining 'unfair' every time he has to take responsibility for his actions."

One person wrote, "Will someone tell the multi-crime spree, criminal Citizen Trump that he has no power to demand anything from anyone."

Another added, "It's well past time for all of us to ignore this nonsense and just go with the court system and rule of law. I will abide by the jury's decision, no matter the outcome. That is as American as we can get!"
