LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Former US First Lady Melania Trump's $39 Zara jacket is making controversy yet again. The jacket that read "I really don't care, do you", already caused a massive spark in 2018, when she stepped out to take a trip to a children's charity, while wearing the same.

According to Daily Beast, at that time, communications chief of Trump insisted that it was "just a jacket" and  that it was a message for the "Fake News".

What is controversy about Melania Trump's jacket?

When Melania Trump boarded an Air Force aircraft to visit the Upbring New Hope Children's Shelter in Texas a facility that houses undocumented children who have been separated from their parents during border crossings—she was dressed in the same olive jacket.

Now, a recent book is set to reveal details about the intense 2018 controversy. Katie Rogers' upcoming book, 'American Woman:The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden', claims that the jacket Melania Trump wore carried a message.

However, the message was directed at neither the children nor the "left-wing media," as claimed by Melania at that time.

The former First Lady had said, "It's obvious I didn't wear the jacket for the children... It was for the people and for the left-wing media who are criticising me. I want to show them I don't care. You could criticise whatever you want to say. But it will not stop me from doing what I feel is right."

The latest book purports that the message was directed at her stepdaughter, Ivanka. According to the book, Melania and Ivanka fought for four years, with only a brief pause for talks on pre- and post-marital agreements with Donald Trump.

The dispute started when Melania decided, early in Trump's administration, to let her ten-year-old son Barron finish his school year in New York rather than move into the White House right away. Melania resisted Ivanka's attempts to refurbish the White House's East Wing, which heightened tensions and led to a protracted "internal power struggle" between the two.

Internet reacts to controversy about Melania Trump's Jacket

In a Facebook post, Internet users expressed their opinions about the controversy. A user wrote, "If that was the message, couldn't she have chosen a more appropriate location to wear it than at the border in the middle of the family separation crisis? The spin never stops.

A user even opined saying, "I really don't care." A user wrote, "Yeah, I'll bet it was.." Another user went on saying,"Not going to fool anyone what it was

meant for and it was not Ivanka."

A user wrote, "Yeah, right. Who needs a jacket in Texas during the summer?" Another user wrote,"Don't care either way."

A user even went on saying, "Sure it was! It was a message that she doesn't care about migrant children."
