Taylor Swift shuts down ‘offensive’ rumors she'll quit music after marrying Travis Kelce

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Taylor Swift has no plans to stop making music anytime soon and she’s making that clear.
During a candid chat on 'The Scott Mills Breakfast Show' on BBC Radio 2, the 35-year-old pop icon shut down fan rumors that her new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl', could be her last before she walks down the aisle with NFL star Travis Kelce.
Swift, who released her 12th studio album on Friday, October 3, was asked by host Scott Mills, 51, about online chatter suggesting she might retire after getting married.
"Taylor, don't tell me this is your last album?" Mills asked.
Swift quickly laughed off the idea. "What? No," she said, before calling the theory "a shockingly offensive thing to say."
Taylor Swift stresses Travis Kelce loves how much she's fulfilled by making music
Taylor Swift explained that tying the knot doesn’t mean she’ll be giving up her passion. “It’s not why people get married, so that they can quit their job,” she said firmly.
“It’s also like music for me is…” she trailed off before emphasizing how integral her art is to her life.
Mills chimed in, noting that fans “love to panic sometimes.” Swift agreed but clarified that her fiance’s support for her career is unwavering.
“I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music,” she said.

Taylor Swift says it's passion that connects her and Travis Kelce
The 14-time Grammy winner went on to gush about Travis Kelce, 36, saying, "That’s the coolest thing about Travis. He is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do connects us."
"There’s no point in time where he’s gonna be like, 'I’m really upset that you’re still making the music. The music thing that I signed up for that I knew you love, I thought you were gonna stop doing that,'" she shared.
"It’s the most fun thing in the world to be able to support each other," the pop sensation expressed.

Taylor Swift compares her performances to Travis Kelce’s NFL games
Taylor Swift also drew parallels between her stage performances and Travis Kelce’s time on the field.
"We both, as a living, as a job, as a passion, perform for three and a half hours in NFL stadiums," she said. "For him, it’s practice. For me, it’s rehearsal. For him, it’s a game. For me, it’s a show."
"We both have teams. And we’re both competitive, like in fun ways, not in ways that eat away at us but just like we just love it," the 'Opalite' singer shared.

The couple announced their engagement on August 26, sharing photos from Travis Kelce’s elaborate backyard proposal on Instagram.
Appearing on 'The Graham Norton Show' the same day her album dropped, Swift revealed Kelce "crushed" the proposal, even hiring her Eras Tour photographer to secretly capture the moment from behind some hedges.
When asked whether her wedding or her record-breaking Eras Tour would have "the biggest production value," Swift laughed.
On wedding planning, the 'Lover' hitmaker told Mills, "Oh my gosh, it’s, you know what? I’m doing one thing at a time."
"I’m just really stoked about the idea that I get to marry this person. I’m gonna put out this album and then I’ll think about other things after that," she added.
