WASHINGTON: Robert F Kennedy Jr mentioned in one of his recent tweets that he wants to beat Donald Trump in a fair election. He tweeted this after Trump was blocked from the ballot in Colorado.

Kennedy was far ahead of former US President Donald Trump, who finished second in the favorability survey. According to US surveys from 2024, Trump leads the Republican field.

Robert F Kennedy Jr wrote in his tweet, "I’m not a Trump supporter (if I were, I wouldn’t be running against him!) But I want to beat him in a fair election, not because he was kicked off the ballot. Let the voters choose, not the courts! #Kennedy24".



 

Robert F Kennedy Jr is the son of Bobby Kennedy, the deceased American senator Robert F Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy passed away in 1968. John F Kennedy, a previous US president, was also slain, in addition to Kennedy Jr.

Kennedy Jr is appealing to Trump's right-of-center voting base despite coming from the House of Democrats because of his conspiracy theories and anti-vaccine views (he was banned from YouTube).

Many internet users praised Robert F Kennedy Jr for his tweet mentioning that he wanted to defeat Donald Trump in a fair election.

A user wrote, "Kennedy always stands with both the law, and integrity. I appreciate Kennedy," whereas one commented, "That's all MAGA wants. A free and fair election. This is outrageous."

Another person wrote, "Democrats have to cheat to win. Simple as," while one added, "Good for you, sir. You are exactly right. #Respect". A person also mentioned, "Oh no @RobertKennedyJr, they’re going to call you a MAGA, or a fascist, a Putin lover, or even… THANOS."
