Announcing Lynn’s death, he wrote, “I am so sorry I can’t share this news in person. After more than 50 years of love and marriage, my wife Lynn Ann Veres passed away peacefully last night, October 29th.”
“Waylon and I were with her until the end. Will miss her so much,” the rocker added, before noting that fans’ “thoughts and prayers will be appreciated.”
Robby ended the post by signing off, “Love, Robby K.”
Robby Krieger recalls his love story with Lynn
In his 2021 memoir, ‘Set the Night on Fire’, Robby praised his wife, saying, “She’s the only person I’ve ever met who lets me be me. And that’s why I’ll always love her.”
While promoting his book, Robby also revealed how his and his wife’s love story began.

Lynn was initially romantically involved with The Doors’ frontman Jim Morrison, who was also dating Pamela Courson at the time.
Morrison died in 1971 at the age of 27, while Courson died three years later, in 1974.
Robby told PEOPLE that Lynn was “one of the gals or guys that would come back to the dressing room and stuff, just to hang out. Anyway, she was taken with Jim so she decided to come out to LA. Jim had written to her and said something like, ‘Oh yeah, come on out. I've got this apartment you can stay in.’ So she comes out and knocks on the door, and who's there but [Jim's longtime girlfriend] Pam. That was their first encounter in LA.”

“Lynn goes, ‘Who is she?’ Jim says, ‘Oh, she just lives here.’ So Lynn leaves in a huff, and Jim runs after her, and then almost gets run down by a car. Crazy stuff. Anyway, I took a liking to her later, when she was pissed off at Jim. I just started seeing her a little more when she was really down on Jim because of all his crazy. And it just worked out. She's still with me,” he explained in 2021.
