WASHINGTON, DC: Another round of protests against Donald Trump and his administration swept through the streets of the capital on Saturday, November 22. Thousands turned out for the “Remove the Regime” rally, calling for Trump’s impeachment and removal from office. The crowd was heard chanting in unison, “Lock him up!”

Organizers said the rally aimed to spotlight what they considered serious wrongdoing by the president. The demonstration came amid mounting criticism over rising prices and the ongoing fallout from the Jeffrey Epstein scandal

“We will no longer tolerate inaction or delay from elected officials as Donald Trump commits actual treason,” the group said on its website. The rally started at noon at the Lincoln Memorial, where rallygoers gathered before moving through downtown Washington.

According to La Voce di New York, the "Remove the Regime" protest was organized by the Removal Coalition, a coalition of nearly two dozen activist groups such as 50501, Citizens’ Impeachment, Gaslit Nation, Flare, and Remember Your Oath.

Organizers accused the president of committing treason and urged his impeachment and removal. Protesters wore colorful costumes and carried signs with resistance messages and George Washington quotes.

The protest’s website shared, “We will have fun, but this is not for fun. We intend to change the trajectory in this country and the conversation around the world.” The rally was called “Remove the Regime” in response to comments from Trump and Hegseth about a “war from within.”

“We are calling out their complicity in the sabotage of American democracy unless and until they honor their oath. We are demanding impeachment and removal, and we are demanding it now,” the organizers said.

“It’s not just ‘let’s come together,’ it’s ‘let’s come together and take actions from here,’” rally volunteer Victoria Bourret told MS NOW. She said the goal of the protest was to raise awareness and build a platform for advocacy. “We have a clear end goal and we’re working every week, every day to get him out.”

Three days of protests fill the capital as activists target Trump

The protests began on Thursday with a rally at Columbus Circle outside Union Station at 10 am. Organizers described the march as a “record-breaking” effort to lobby Congress for Trump’s impeachment and removal.

The event featured speeches, comedy acts, and live music, including performances by the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys and singer-songwriter Earth to Eve. Afterward, attendees marched along the National Mall.

Another rally at Union Station took place on Friday, leading up to the main event on Saturday. Protesters gathered at noon at the Lincoln Memorial before marching through Washington.
