TikToker Rachel Yaffe dies at 27 after sharing about 'worst days' in final post

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: TikToker Rachel Yaffe has died at age 27 from a severe health condition.

The social media personality suffered from a rare disease for seven years and ultimately succumbed to it on October 11.

In her final post on September 1, Rachel Yaffe looked frail as she talked about her recent round of radiation.

The social media personality captioned her video, "Finding the little [joys] helps me stay motivated even on my worst days."

She also talked about returning to her New York apartment from the hospital, "I lost so much of my strength when I was getting radiation and I'm starting from day one."

"It's been so hard for me to get up and force myself to move so I'm working on doing that,” Yaffe said, per The Sun US.

The TikTok star was diagnosed with fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma, a rare form of liver cancer that only affects 200 people worldwide every year, at just age 20.

The Internet expressed surprise over Rachel Yaffe's death. Many wondered why so many young people are dying from rare diseases.
