ST PAUL, MINNESOTA: Tim Walz received a mixed welcome as he spoke at a veteran’s rally on Wednesday, April 9, at the Minnesota Capitol.

The failed vice presidential candidate was ridiculed by attendees, with one yelling, “Shut your f**king mouth,” as many were still angry with him as he allegedly misconstrued his military record during his vice presidential run in 2024, as reported by Gateway Pundit.

At the time, current Vice President VD Vance accused Walz of taking retirement to avoid going to Iraq in 2005. But the Governor of Minnesota fired back, saying, “These guys are even attacking me for my record of service.”

“I just want to say, I’m proud to have served my country, and I always will be,” he added, as per Politico.

Meanwhile, during Wednesday's event, many veterans cheered for Walz as he said, “This collective work, bipartisanly nearly unanimously, has put historic amounts of money into veterans’ issues.”

“We are going to become the fifth state and largest state to end veteran homelessness in the state,” he stated, as per Northern News Now.

The 61-year-old politician also further mentioned that he’s “going to have a debate, but I’ve made it clear I will not compromise with you on the budget. I will not compromise in the space of veterans’ issues. We will fund them to where they need to be.”

Tim Walz also addressed the current government’s funding cuts as he noted, “Look, that’s what they’re going to do when these folks come here. But they’re going to have to face reality. Some of these guys voted for what’s happening at the VA and they don’t like it.”

The third one said, “I usually am not a fan of this type of reaction from people in the audience, but in Timmy's case, it's well deserved.”

“Well deserved!” a critic remarked.

“Tim Walz is an American disgrace,” a tweet read.

Another tweet was “Thank God Minnesota still has some semblance of a backbone.”
