MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Tom‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Homan, in a newly circulated Fox News interview clip, was sharply critical of the Democrat Police Chief of Minneapolis, saying that local law enforcement officials are indifferent to ICE officers and are neglecting their most basic duties to protect the public.

In the clip shared on X, he made his point very clearly; Homan went out of his way to deliver the message to the city’s police ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌leaders. He argued that law enforcement cooperation is essential in cases involving individuals deemed threats by federal authorities.

In the video, Homan began by saying he has given similar warnings to other police leaders across the country.

“Look, I’ll say the same thing I said to other chiefs of police in Sanctuary City. Shame on you. I mean, your number one responsibility is the safety and security of your communities. And ICE is targeting criminals. Criminals.” said Homan firmly.

Homan also said, “So for you not to partner with ICE to make your communities safer is shameful. You ought to put his badge in the desk drawer and walk away because he stopped being a cop and became a politician.”

“But when we have an illegal alien in public safety threatening the community, I want to be shoulder-to-shoulder with you. I want to help you make my community safer,” Homan said in the interview.

He made his stance clear in his statement, “Zero tolerance for impeding ICE in their operations.”

Chief O’Hara reiterated that Minneapolis police do not work with federal agents to enforce immigration laws and that officers only respond to enforcement raids to protect lives and uphold the law.

He urged protesters to exercise their free speech rights peacefully and told residents to call 911 if they are unsure whether someone they see in the community is a ‘legitimate’ law enforcement officer. “That’s something you should report, and we will immediately respond to and document,” he said.
