WASHINGTON, DC: Republican Sen Tommy Tuberville criticized Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer over his now deleted Father's Day photo on X (formerly Twitter) trying his grilling skills.

The Alabama lawmaker accused Schumer of "communism" for trying to cook on a gas grill while roasting the top Jewish Democrat who went viral for pairing raw burgers with cheese on top, which is forbidden for Jews.

"First of all, he's cooking on a gas grill. In the South, we call that communism," the college football coach-turned-politician attacked Schumer in an interview on 'The Benny Show' on Tuesday, June 18, as per the New York Post.

"I've been up here [Senate] almost four years," Tuberville added. "I've never spoken a word to Chuck Schumer."

The New York Democrat posted a photo of him attempting to grill a burger at his daughter Alison Schumer's house on Father's Day.

"Our family has lived in an apartment building for all our years, but my daughter and her wife just bought a house with a backyard and for the first time we're having a barbecue with hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill!" Schumer wrote in the now-deleted post.

He took down the Father's Day post after many criticized his violation of Kosher guidelines prohibiting pairing dairy products with meat.

Tuberville wasted no time shredding the Senate leader's cooking skills.

The Republican lawmaker accused Schumer of pretending to be an "average guy" who cooks, but it was obvious he "had never cooked in his life."

As conservative host Benny Johnson proposed to film a grilling tutorial, Tuberville joked, "we could invite him."

"He wouldn't know the difference between a hot dog and a hamburger patty — I'll tell you right now," added the ex-football coach at Texas Tech University, the University of Mississippi, Auburn University, and the University of Cincinnati.

Last year, the Alabama congressman clashed with Schumer after the former blocked US military promotions in protest against a Pentagon abortion policy, which the latter slammed as the "most abominable and outrageous" move he ever saw in the Senate.

Internet ridicules Sen Tommy Tuberville for offering cooking lessons to Sen Chuck Schumer

Netizens brutally mocked Tuberville for suggesting to invite Schumer for a grilling lesson.

One user quipped, "Must be running out of things to talk about. When does your cooking show start?"

Another said, "That's hilarious because Tuberville couldn't figure out how to make a burger if someone gave him illustrated directions."

A third user added, "That's tuberville, always pursuing an issue that has absolutely no merit!"

"Ah, the US political discourse continues to get more trivial, I see," a fourth response read.

Another person joked, "Tommy Tuberville is trying to prove he's a senator."

"Bet Tuberville can teach Schumer how to grill some burgers but only if Schumer can teach Tuberville how to walk down some stairs instead of sliding down," read a funny remark.

Someone else remarked, "Thankfully, he didn’t offer to teach him how to be a winning football coach because Tuberville doesn’t have any knowledge about that."

Another user wrote, "Schumer has no skills other than leveraging his political position."
