LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Transgender actor Indya Moore, best known for starring in FX’s 'Pose', shared an emotional video on Instagram in which she said she is seeking “asylum” from what she called “fascist” America.

Moore claimed the US government is targeting trans people and warned that not caring about the transgender community means “you hate America.”

Moore’s tearful remarks included fears about alleged government persecution, pleas for international advocacy, and frustration over ongoing bathroom debates and public safety concerns.

Indya Moore says ignoring trans people equals 'hating America'

In the emotional video, Indya Moore asserted that transgender people play an important role in protecting society.

“Seeing all of these reports that are coming out about what the federal government is trying to do to persecute trans people and put us in concentration camps, it’s really disturbing,” she said. Moore added, “How do you go from ‘trans people are mentally ill and they need help’ to ‘trans people are terrorists?’”

Moore further emphasized, “Not caring about trans people means you hate America.” He urged viewers to understand that trans individuals “contribute” to “family values” and pleaded with foreign allies to “advocate” for American trans people to “be able to seek refuge” in their 0countries.

During the video, Moore revealed he is looking to leave the US for safety reasons.

“I am now trying to seek asylum from America,” he declared. He begged other nations to accept trans people, stating, “Please advocate for us.”

Indya Moore raises concerns over bathroom policies

'The Queen & Slim' actor expressed confusion and distress over bathroom debates involving transgender people.

“I am so confused about all this stuff, especially the stuff about the bathroom. If people are separated by sex for safety, then why are you going to put trans women in the men’s bathroom?” Moore asked.

“Why do you want to force us to be in the men’s bathroom when you know what they’re going to do to us? Could you imagine having to share a bathroom with the average cis man?” he said through tears.

Moore alleged he had been threatened with a $100,000 fine in relation to restroom use. “That’s crazy. That’s not right. Like, trans people are not mentally ill because we’re trans,” he insisted.

He also lamented the struggles of women, demanding recognition for his own experience of womanhood. “When is anybody going to ask me what my womanhood means?” Moore shouted. “When are you ever going to ask me what it feels like to experience what it means to be a woman in this world in 2025? To witness what men do to women.”

“I am treated just like a woman in this world! And the way that you people take, and take, and take, and take from us! And you treat us like s**t!” She said.
