Travis Barker shares reason behind opening up about Kourtney Kardashian’s miscarriage in new doc

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Barker has disclosed his and his wife Kourtney Kardashian’s reason behind being open about their earlier miscarriage in his new documentary.

The  Blink-182 drummer’s ‘Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear’ documentary will be released on August 13 on Hulu, and he discussed it on the latest episode of The New York Times’ 'Popcast', posted on Thursday, August 6.

During the sit-down, Barker also talked about his and the socialite’s married life as well as the challenges they faced before welcoming their son, Rocky Thirteen, in 2023.

Travis Barker says his and Kourtney Kardashian’s miscarriage story can help many people

“When there’s things that can benefit people or help people relate to something, I think that’s always like a green light, especially — she’s always trying to do something like that,” Barker said.

The 50-year-old then added, “Our journey of miscarriages and then IVF and it’s failed, resulting in us having a baby naturally — like I feel like that’s a story that so many people can relate [to].”

Further into the podcast, Barker was asked why he did not share it on ‘The Kardashians’, he replied, “The way the documentary happens is through a series of interviews. I’ll say something, and then they’re like, ‘Oh, well tell me more about that.’ And that’s how that came up.”

Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian share children from their previous relationships as well

The music producer also has two biological children, Landon Asher Barker and Alabama Luella Barker, with his second wife Shanna Moakler. He is also stepfather to Atiana De La Hoya, Moakler's daughter from a previous relationship. Barker's first wife was Melissa Kennedy, but they did not share any children.

On the other hand, Kardashian has three more children — Mason Dash Disick, Penelope Scotland Disick, and Reign Aston Disick — whom she shares with her former partner Scott Disick. The two were in an on-and-off relationship for almost a decade.

Kourtney Kardashian shared that all of her and Travis Barker's children live under one roof

Regarding their big family, the 47-year-old Poosh founder had previously said, “I feel like blending, in the beginning, is a lot of adjusting for each person. Us in their space and then us being out of our space and into a new space. But it’s really good, but I do want to get this going.”

“And my stepkids have lived in their home for their whole lives. It’s new, all living together in one house, which is nice. It is change, but I think we’re at a really amazing place with it,” the eldest Kardashian sister added.
