Travis Kelce reveals one unexpected benefit of relationship with Taylor Swift
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Travis Kelce is enjoying an unexpected bonus from his relationship with wife Taylor Swift, revealing that their romance has helped bring more fathers and daughters together through football.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared the observation during the October 21 episode of his 'New Heights' podcast, explaining how fans have approached him to share stories about watching football with their daughters.

During Wednesday's episode of 'New Heights,' Travis, 37, was asked by his older brother, Jason Kelce, 38, how much the Kansas City Chiefs' fan base had grown since he started dating Swift in 2023.
“I will say this,” Travis began before struggling to find the right words to describe the change he had noticed.
“I have a lot more people coming up to me expressing their, not necessarily their love for the Chiefs, but their... What am I… What words am I trying to use, ‘Travis? Use your words. Use your words, Travis!’ ” he said.
The NFL star then explained what he meant, revealing that many people had approached him to share personal stories about how football had brought them closer to their daughters.
“Expressing their stories of them and their daughters having a moment of watching football together. And that has been undoubtedly the majority of people that come up to me that talk football just off the street,” Travis said.
The podcast co-host added that he receives “a lot of thanks” from people who have experienced these stronger bonds between fathers and daughters through football. He described the development as “pretty cool.”
“I didn’t have that one on the guard when I started dating Tay, let alone asked her to marry me, but it’s been pretty cool to see the influx of Chiefs fans outside of all the Super Bowl appearances and all that,” Travis shared.
Swift has regularly attended Chiefs games since she began dating Travis.
She was also spotted in the stands during the team's most recent victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, October 18.

Although Swift knew very little about football before her relationship with Travis, the athlete previously revealed that his wife has become well-versed in the sport.
During a September episode of 'New Heights,' Travis described how Swift now recognizes penalties and understands what is happening during games.
“Now she knows everything,” he said of his wife.
“She sees the flags coming in. Like, ‘Oh, that might be a defensive hold.’ Like, ‘What’d you say, sweetie?’ She’s like, ‘That’s encroachment.’ I’m like, ‘You know what that is?’ She’s on it now. She got fully engulfed in it,” Travis explained.
Jason, a retired Philadelphia Eagles center, also praised his sister-in-law for her growing interest in football.
Reflecting on meeting Swift at a Bills game, he recalled how engaged she was in learning about the sport.
“That’s one of the things that was so enjoyable meeting her at the Bills game and seeing how much Tay’s into football. Asking questions, really trying to… and now it’s been a few years since that, so,” Jason said.
Travis agreed with his brother's assessment of Swift's enthusiasm, insisting that she had become fully invested in football.
“Oh, she’s in, so far,” he said.
