Travis Kelce sparks speculation about Taylor Swift moving in with lavish addition to $6M Kansas City home
KANSAS CITY, KANSAS: Travis Kelce is building a massive underground man cave beneath his mansion in Kansas City, and with all the recent references to him planning an engagement and marriage talk, this move is bound to spark speculation about Taylor Swift moving in, reports The Sun.
The star player of the Kansas City Chiefs has been dating the pop singing icon for close to a year and may soon pop the question, speculated the report.
With Travis Kelce making modifications to his newly acquired home worth $6 million, wedding bells are a reasonable guess for fans of the couple.
They reckon the NFL legend's mother Donna Kelce gave a big hint on that front when she replied, "You never know," when asked by Page Six whether she thinks Kelce will be popping the question to his high-profile music star girlfriend anytime soon.
Work undertaken at Travis Kelce's mansion
Travis Kelce is building a 396-square-foot underground den beneath his new mansion in Kansas City that can accommodate an indoor golf simulator, reported the Daily Mail on Thursday, October 10.
The NFL star purchased the 6-bedroom property last year in a gated community, where he and Swift spend most of their time.
The plans of the project have been seen by the publication, and construction teams were spotted reaching the site earlier in October. The basement floor would be reportedly dug up and lowered two and a half feet.
The golf simulator is expected to be used by both the Kelce brothers who have a passion for the sport considering they have entered numerous charity golf tournaments and have both won the American Century Long Drive Contest.
Travis' Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes would also be expected to use the facilities since he also favors the sport.
The additional space in the basement may also serve as a new studio for Travis Kelce to host his podcast with his brother Jason.
The City of Leawood, a leafy suburb 20 minutes south of Arrowhead Stadium, signed off on the project. If all goes to plan, phase one of the project is expected to be finished by December.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift excited for 'Happy Gilmore' sequel
In other news concerning the couple, they have been offered a cameo in 'Happy Gilmore 2', a sequel to Adam Sandler's 1996 cult classic film.
The Grammy winner has been described as "really excited" for Kelce to be a part of the project, as both of them are big fans of Sandler's films. However, she is believed to be less sure of herself.
On the other hand, sources told The Sun that Kelce has been "taking acting classes for months."
